تَوَكَّلْتُ
reliant
عَلَى
upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
رَبِّى
— my Rabb
وَرَبِّكُم
and your Rabb —
ۚ
مَّا
not
مِن
there is from
دَآبَّةٍ
a creature
إِلَّا
except that
هُوَ
He
ءَاخِذٌۢ
accepts
بِنَاصِيَتِهَآ
by its testimony;
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely
رَبِّى
my Rabb is
عَلَىٰ
upon
صِرَٰطٍۢ
a path
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
that is stable.]
١١
٥٦
إِنِّى تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رَبِّى وَرَبِّكُم ۚ مَّا مِن دَآبَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ ءَاخِذٌۢ بِنَاصِيَتِهَآ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ [I am reliant upon the One — my Rabb and your Rabb — not there is from a creature except that He accepts by its testimony; surely my Rabb is upon a path that is stable.]

Lo! I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Not an animal but He doth grasp it by the forelock! Lo! my Lord is on a straight path. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[So if
تَوَلَّوْا۟
you turn away,
فَقَدْ
thus it is that
أَبْلَغْتُكُم
I have conveyed
مَّآ
what
أُرْسِلْتُ
was inspired to me
بِهِۦٓ
about it
إِلَيْكُمْ
to you;
ۚ
وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ
and will bring successors
رَبِّى
— my Rabb —
قَوْمًا
a people
غَيْرَكُمْ
other than you all
وَلَا
and not
تَضُرُّونَهُۥ
you can force Him for
شَيْـًٔا
any thing;
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely
رَبِّى
my Rabb
عَلَىٰ
upon
كُلِّ
all
شَىْءٍ
things is
حَفِيظٌۭ
a guardian.]
١١
٥٧
فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَقَدْ أَبْلَغْتُكُم مَّآ أُرْسِلْتُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَيْكُمْ ۚ وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّى قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّونَهُۥ شَيْـًٔا ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ حَفِيظٌۭ [So if you turn away, thus it is that I have conveyed what was inspired to me about it to you; and will bring successors — my Rabb — a people other than you all and not you can force Him for any thing; surely my Rabb upon all things is a guardian.]
⦿
And if ye turn away, still I have conveyed unto you that wherewith I was sent unto you, and my Lord will set in place of you a folk other than you. Ye cannot injure Him at all. Lo! my Lord is Guardian over all things. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
But if you turn your backs [on me], then [know that] I have communicated to you whatever I was sent to you with. My Lord will make another people succeed you, and you will not hurt Allah in the least. Indeed my Lord is watchful over all things.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

If you turn away from Him (since I have already preached to you the message that I carry), He will replace you with another nation. You cannot harm Him the least. My Lord is the Protector of all things.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

But if you turn back, then indeed I have delivered to you the message with which I have been sent to you, and my Lord will bring another people in your place, and you cannot do Him any harm; surely my Lord is the Preserver of all things. - Shakir, Habib

اس کے بعد بھی انحراف کرو تو میں نے خدائی پیغام کو پہنچادیا ہے اب خدا تمہاری جگہ پر دوسری قوموں کو لے آئے گا اور تم اس کا کچھ نہیں بگاڑ سکتے ہو بیشک میرا پروردگار ہر شے کا نگراں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اگر تم منہ پھیرتے ہو تو پھیر لو جو پیغام دے کر میں تمہارے پاس بھیجا گیا تھا وہ میں تم کو پہنچا چکا ہوں اب میرا رب تمہاری جگہ دوسری قوم کو اٹھائے گا اور تم اس کا کچھ نہ بگاڑ سکو گے یقیناً میرا رب ہر چیز پر نگراں ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر اگر تم منہ پھیرو تو میں تمہیں پہنچا چکا جو تمہاری طرف لے کر بھیجا گیا اور میرا رب تمہاری جگہ اوروں کو لے آئے گا اور تم اس کا کچھ نہ بگاڑ سکو گے بیشک میرا رب ہر شے پر نگہبان ہے - Ahmed Raza

اس پر بھی اگر تم روگردانی کرو تو جو (پیغام) دے کر مجھے تمہاری طرف بھیجا گیا تھا وہ میں نے تمہیں پہنچا دیا ہے (اور حجت تمام کر دی ہے) اب اگر تم نے یہ پیغام قبول نہ کیا تو میرا پروردگار تمہاری جگہ کسی اور قوم کو لائے گا۔ اور تم اس کو کچھ بھی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکو گے بے شک میرا پروردگار ہر چیز پر نگہبان و نگران ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَلَمَّا
And for when
جَآءَ
came
أَمْرُنَا
Our command,
نَجَّيْنَا
We saved
هُودًۭا
Hood
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and the ones who
ءَامَنُوا۟
had conviction
مَعَهُۥ
along with him
بِرَحْمَةٍۢ
through mercy
مِّنَّا
from Us,
وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُم
and We saved them
مِّنْ
from
عَذَابٍ
a punishment
غَلِيظٍۢ
that is tough.
١١
٥٨
وَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُودًۭا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحْمَةٍۢ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍۢ And for when came Our command, We saved Hood and the ones who had conviction along with him through mercy from Us, and We saved them from a punishment that is tough.

And when Our commandment came to pass We saved Hud and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us; We saved them from a harsh doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When Our edict came, We delivered Hud and the faithful who were with him, by a mercy from Us, and We delivered them from a harsh punishment. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When Our decree (of destroying them) was fulfilled, We mercifully saved Hud and his believing followers. We saved them from the intense torment. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when Our decree came to pass, We delivered Hud and those who believed with him with mercy from Us, and We delivered them from a hard chastisement. - Shakir, Habib

When Our command came, We delivered Hud and those who believed with him by Our special mercy. We saved them from a severe punishment. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب ہمارا حکم آگیا تو ہم نے ہود اور ان کے ساتھ ایمان لانے والوں کو اپنی رحمت سے بچالیااور انہیں سخت عذاب سے نجات دے دی - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر جب ہمارا حکم آگیا تو ہم نے اپنی رحمت سے ہودؑ کو اور اُن لوگوں کو جو اُس کے ساتھ ایمان لائے تھے نجات دے دی اور ایک سخت عذاب سے بچا لیا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب ہمارا حکم آیا ہم نے ہود اور اس کے ساتھ کے مسلمانوں کو اپنی رحمت فرما کر بچالیا اور انہیں سخت عذاب سے نجات دی، - Ahmed Raza

اور جب ہمارا حکم (عذاب) آگیا تو ہم نے اپنی خاص رحمت سے ہود(ع) کو اور ان لوگوں کو جو ان کے ساتھ ایمان لائے تھے نجات دے دی اور انہیں ایک سخت عذاب سے بچا لیا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَتِلْكَ
And these were
عَادٌۭ
people of 'Aad;
ۖ
جَحَدُوا۟
they were disputatious
بِـَٔايَٰتِ
about signs of
رَبِّهِمْ
their Rabb
وَعَصَوْا۟
and rebelled against
رُسُلَهُۥ
their messenger,
وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟
and they obeyed
أَمْرَ
command of
كُلِّ
every
جَبَّارٍ
prideful
عَنِيدٍۢ
corruptor.
١١
٥٩
وَتِلْكَ عَادٌۭ ۖ جَحَدُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَعَصَوْا۟ رُسُلَهُۥ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍۢ And these were people of 'Aad; they were disputatious about signs of their Rabb and rebelled against their messenger, and they obeyed command of every prideful corruptor.

And such were A'ad. They denied the revelations of their Lord and flouted His messengers and followed the command of every froward potentate. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
Such were [the people of] Ad: they impugned the signs of their Lord and disobeyed His apostles, and followed the dictates of every obstinate tyrant. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
It was the tribe of `Ad who denied the miracles of their Lord, disobeyed His Messenger and followed the orders of every transgressing tyrant. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And this was Ad; they denied the communications of their Lord, and disobeyed His apostles and followed the bidding of every insolent opposer (of truth). - Shakir, Habib
⦿
Such were the 'Ad who denied the signs of their Lord and disobeyed His messengers and followed the bidding of every headstrong enemy of truth. - Wahiduddin Khan

یہ قوم عاد ہے جس نے پروردگار کی آیتوں کا انکار کیا اس کے رسولوں کی نافرمانی کی اور ہر ظالم و سرکش کا اتباع کرلیا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ ہیں عاد، اپنے رب کی آیات سے انہوں نے انکار کیا، اس کے رسولوں کی بات نہ مانی، اور ہر جبار دشمن حق کی پیروی کرتے رہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور یہ عاد ہیں کہ اپنے رب کی آیتوں سے منکر ہوئے اور اس کے رسولوں کی نافرمانی کی اور ہر بڑے سرکش ہٹ دھرم کے کہنے پر چلے، - Ahmed Raza

اور یہ ہے قومِ عاد جس نے جان بوجھ کر اپنے پروردگار کی آیتوں (نشانیوں) کا انکار کیا اور اس کے رسولوں کی نافرمانی کی اور ہر سرکش اور دشمن (حق) کی اطاعت کی۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَأُتْبِعُوا۟
And followed them
فِى
in
هَٰذِهِ
this
ٱلدُّنْيَا
World
لَعْنَةًۭ
damnation
وَيَوْمَ
and on day of
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
the establishment.
ۗ
أَلَآ
Is it not
إِنَّ
that
عَادًۭا
the people of 'Aad
كَفَرُوا۟
were in denial of
رَبَّهُمْ
their Rabb?
ۗ
أَلَا
Is it not that
بُعْدًۭا
were done away with
لِّعَادٍۢ
the people of 'Aad,
قَوْمِ
nation of
هُودٍۢ
Hood?
١١
٦٠
وَأُتْبِعُوا۟ فِى هَٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةًۭ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ عَادًۭا كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّهُمْ ۗ أَلَا بُعْدًۭا لِّعَادٍۢ قَوْمِ هُودٍۢ And followed them in this World damnation and on day of the establishment. Is it not that the people of 'Aad were in denial of their Rabb? Is it not that were done away with the people of 'Aad, nation of Hood?

And a curse was made to follow them in the world and on the Day of Resurrection. Lo! A'ad disbelieved in their Lord. A far removal for A'ad, the folk of Hud! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So they were pursued by a curse in this world and on the Day of Resurrection. Behold! [Ad indeed defied their Lord. Now, away with [Ad, the people of Hud! - Qarai, Ali Quli

They were condemned in this life and will be condemned in the life hereafter. The tribe of Ad had certainly rejected their Lord. God kept the tribe of Ad, the people of Hud, away from His mercy. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they were overtaken by curse in this world and on the resurrection day; now surely Ad disbelieved in their Lord; now surely, away with Ad, the people of Hud. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
They were pursued by a curse in this world as they will be on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, the 'Ad denied their Lord. So away with the 'Ad, the people of Hud! - Wahiduddin Khan

اور اس دنیا میں بھی اور قیامت میں بھی ان کے پیچھے لعنت لگادی گئی ہے -آگاہ ہوجاؤ کہ عاد نے اپنے پررودگار کا کفر کیا تو اب ہود کی قوم عاد کے لئے ہلاکت ہی ہلاکت ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

آخر کار اس دنیا میں بھی ان پر پھٹکار پڑی اور قیامت کے روز بھی سنو! عاد نے اپنے رب سے کفر کیا، سنو! دور پھینک دیے گئے عاد، ہودؑ کی قوم کے لوگ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ان کے پیچھے لگی اس دنیا میں لعنت اور قیامت کے دن، سن لو! بیشک عاد اپنے رب سے منکر ہوئے، ارے دور ہوں عاد ہود کی قوم، - Ahmed Raza

(اس کی پاداش میں) اس دنیا میں ان کے پیچھے لعنت لگا دی گئی اور آخرت میں بھی آگاہ ہو جاؤ کہ قومِ عاد نے اپنے پروردگار کا انکار کیا۔ سو ہلاکت و بربادی ہے ہود کی قومِ عاد کے لئے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And (sent) to
ثَمُودَ
Thamud
أَخَاهُمْ
their brother
صَٰلِحًۭا
Saleh.
ۚ
قَالَ
(Saleh) said,
يَٰقَوْمِ
[O nation!
ٱعْبُدُوا۟
Be in servitude of
ٱللَّهَ
the One,
مَا
not
لَكُم
for you is
مِّنْ
from
إِلَٰهٍ
a master
غَيْرُهُۥ
other than Him;
ۖ
هُوَ
He
أَنشَأَكُم
produced you
مِّنَ
from
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the Earth,
وَٱسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ
and He settled you
فِيهَا
in it,
فَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ
so ask for forgiveness
ثُمَّ
then
تُوبُوٓا۟
turn
إِلَيْهِ
towards Him,
ۚ
إِنَّ
indeed
رَبِّى
my Rabb
قَرِيبٌۭ
is near,
مُّجِيبٌۭ
responding.]
١١
٦١
وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَٰلِحًۭا ۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥ ۖ هُوَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ فِيهَا فَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى قَرِيبٌۭ مُّجِيبٌۭ And (sent) to Thamud their brother Saleh. (Saleh) said, [O nation! Be in servitude of the One, not for you is from a master other than Him; He produced you from the Earth, and He settled you in it, so ask for forgiveness then turn towards Him, indeed my Rabb is near, responding.]

And unto (the tribe of) Thamud (We sent) their brother Salih. He said: O my people! Serve Allah, Ye have no other Allah save Him. He brought you forth from the earth and hath made you husband it. So ask forgiveness of Him and turn unto Him repentant. Lo! my Lord is Nigh, Responsive. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And to Thamud [We sent] Salih, their brother. He said, [O my people! Worship Allah. You have no other god besides Him. He brought you forth from the earth and made it your habitation. So plead with Him for forgiveness, then turn to Him penitently. My Lord is indeed nearmost [and] responsive.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

To Thamud We sent their brother Salih who told them, [My people, worship God; He is your only Lord. It is He who has created you from the earth and has settled you therein. Seek forgiveness from Him and turn to Him in repentance. My Lord is certainly close to everyone and He hears all prayers.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And to Samood (We sent) their brother Salih. He said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than He; He brought you into being from the earth, and made you dwell in it, therefore ask forgiveness of Him, then turn to Him; surely my Lord is Nigh, Answering. - Shakir, Habib

To the Thamud We sent their brother Salih. He said, [My people, worship God! You have no god but Him. It was He who brought you into being from the earth and settled you upon it and so ask His forgiveness. Turn to Him in repentance. My Lord is near and responsive.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے قوم ثمود کی طرف ان کے بھائی صالح کو بھیجا اور انہوں نے کہا کہ اے قوم اللہ کی عبادت کرو اس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے اس نے تمہیںزمین سے پیدا کیا ہے اور اس میں آباد کیا ہے اب اس سے استغفار کرو اور اس کی طرف متوجہ ہوجاؤ کہ میرا پروردگار قریب تر اور دعاؤں کا قبول کرنے والا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور ثمود کی طرف ہم نے ان کے بھائی صالحؑ کو بھیجا اُس نے کہا ——اے میری قوم کے لوگو، اللہ کی بندگی کرو، اُ س کے سوا تمہارا کوئی خدا نہیں ہے وہی ہے جس نے تم کو زمین سے پیدا کیا ہے اور یہاں تم کو بسایا ہے لہٰذا تم اس سے معافی چاہو اور اس کی طرف پلٹ آؤ، یقیناً میرا رب قریب ہے اور وہ دعاؤں کا جواب دینے والا ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ثمود کی طرف ان کے ہم قوم صا لح کو کہا اے میری قوم اللہ کو پوجو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں اس نے تمہیں زمین میں پیدا کیا اور اس میں تمہیں بسایا تو اس سے معافی چاہو پھر اس کی طرف رجوع لاؤ، بیشک میرا رب قریب ہے دعا سننے والا، - Ahmed Raza

They said,
يَٰصَٰلِحُ
[O Saleh!
قَدْ
surely
كُنتَ
you were
فِينَا
within us
مَرْجُوًّۭا
as someone who had hope
قَبْلَ
before
هَٰذَآ
this.
ۖ
أَتَنْهَىٰنَآ
Do you want us to refrain,
أَن
that
نَّعْبُدَ
we serve
مَا
what
يَعْبُدُ
obeyed
ءَابَآؤُنَا
our elders?
وَإِنَّنَا
While indeed we
لَفِى
are in
شَكٍّۢ
doubt
مِّمَّا
of what
تَدْعُونَآ
you call us
إِلَيْهِ
towards it
مُرِيبٍۢ
being suspicious.]

٦٢
قَالُوا۟ يَٰصَٰلِحُ قَدْ كُنتَ فِينَا مَرْجُوًّۭا قَبْلَ هَٰذَآ ۖ أَتَنْهَىٰنَآ أَن نَّعْبُدَ مَا يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا وَإِنَّنَا لَفِى شَكٍّۢ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍۢ They said, [O Saleh! surely you were within us as someone who had hope before this. Do you want us to refrain, that we serve what obeyed our elders? While indeed we are in doubt of what you call us towards it being suspicious.]

They said: O Salih! Thou hast been among us hitherto as that wherein our hope was placed. Dost thou ask us not to worship what our fathers worshipped? Lo! we verily are in grave doubt concerning that to which thou callest us. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They said, [O Salih! You were a source of hope to us before this. Do you forbid us to worship what our fathers have been worshiping? Indeed we have grave doubts concerning that to which you invite us.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

They said, [Salih, we had great hope in you before this. Do you forbid us to worship that which our fathers had worshipped? We are doubtful and uncertain about what you have told us to worship.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

They said: O Salih! surely you were one amongst us in whom great expectations were placed before this; do you (now) forbid us from worshipping what our fathers worshipped? And as to that which you call us to, most surely we are in disquieting doubt. - Shakir, Habib

They said, [O Salih! We had great hopes in you. Do you forbid us to worship what our fathers worshipped? We are in grave doubt, amounting to suspicion, concerning that to which you call us.] - Wahiduddin Khan

ان لوگوں نے کہا کہ اے صالح اس سے پہلے تم سے بڑی امیدیں وابستہ تھیں کیا تم اس بات سے روکتے ہو کہ ہم اپنے بزرگوں کے معبودوں کی پرستش کریں -ہم یقینا تمہاری دعوت کی طرف سے شک اور شبہ میں ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

انہوں نے کہا ——اے صالحؑ، اس سے پہلے تو ہمارے درمیان ایسا شخص تھا جس سے بڑی توقعات وابستہ تھیں کیا تو ہمیں ان معبودوں کی پرستش سے روکنا چاہتا ہے جن کی پرستش ہمارے باپ دادا کرتے تھے؟ تو جس طریقے کی طرف ہمیں بلا رہا ہے اس کے بارے میں ہم کو سخت شبہ ہے جس نے ہمیں خلجان میں ڈال رکھا ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بولے اے صا لح! اس سے پہلے تو تم ہم میں ہونہار معلوم ہوتے تھے کیا تم ہمیں اس سے منع کرتے ہو کہ اپنے باپ دادا کے معبودوں کو پوجیں اور بیشک جس بات کی طرف ہمیں بلاتے ہو ہم اس سے ایک بڑے دھوکا ڈالنے والے شک میں ہیں، - Ahmed Raza

(Saleh) said,
يَٰقَوْمِ
[O nation!
أَرَءَيْتُمْ
Do you see
إِن
that
كُنتُ
I am
عَلَىٰ
upon
بَيِّنَةٍۢ
clarity
مِّن
from
رَّبِّى
my Rabb,
وَءَاتَىٰنِى
and have been given
مِنْهُ
from Him
رَحْمَةًۭ
a blessing,
فَمَن
then who will
يَنصُرُنِى
help me
مِنَ
against
ٱللَّهِ
the One
إِنْ
if
عَصَيْتُهُۥ
I rebel against Him?
ۖ
فَمَا
Thus what
تَزِيدُونَنِى
you will increase in me
غَيْرَ
except
تَخْسِيرٍۢ
losses?]

٦٣
قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِن كُنتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّى وَءَاتَىٰنِى مِنْهُ رَحْمَةًۭ فَمَن يَنصُرُنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنْ عَصَيْتُهُۥ ۖ فَمَا تَزِيدُونَنِى غَيْرَ تَخْسِيرٍۢ (Saleh) said, [O nation! Do you see that I am upon clarity from my Rabb, and have been given from Him a blessing, then who will help me against the One if I rebel against Him? Thus what you will increase in me except losses?]

He said: O my people! Bethink you: if I am (acting) on clear proof from my Lord and there hath come unto me a mercy from Him, who will save me from Allah if I disobey Him? Ye would add to me naught save perdition. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [O my people! Tell me, should I stand on a manifest proof from my Lord, and He has granted me His own mercy, who will protect me from Allah should I disobey Him? For then you will increase me in nothing but loss. - Qarai, Ali Quli

He said, [My people, think. I have received authoritative evidence and mercy from my Lord, so who will protect me from God if I disobey Him? You certainly want to destroy me. - Sarwar, Muhammad

He said: O my people! tell me if I have clear proof from my Lord and He has granted to me mercy from Himself-- who will then help me against Allah if I disobey Him? Therefore you do not add to me other than loss: - Shakir, Habib

He said, [O my people, tell me: if I have clear evidence from my Lord, and He has granted His mercy, who then will support me against God, if I disobey Him? You would only make my loss greater. - Wahiduddin Khan

انہوں نے کہا اے قوم تمہارا کیا خیال ہے کہ اگر میں اپنے پروردگار کی طرف سے دلیل رکھتا ہوں اور اس نے مجھے رحمت عطا کی ہے تو اگر میں اس کی نافرمانی کروں گا تو اس کے مقابلہ میں کون میری مدد کرسکے گا تم تو گھاٹے میں اضافہ کے علاوہ کچھ نہیں کرسکتے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

صالحؑ نے کہا ——اے برادران قوم، تم نے کچھ اس بات پر بھی غور کیا کہ اگر میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے ایک صاف شہادت رکھتا تھا، اور پھر اس نے اپنی رحمت سے بھی مجھ کو نواز دیا تو اِس کے بعد اللہ کی پکڑ سے مجھے کون بچائے گا اگر میں اُس کی نافرمانی کروں؟ تم میرے کس کام آ سکتے ہو سوائے اس کے کہ مجھے اور زیادہ خسارے میں ڈال دو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بولا اے میری قوم! بھلا بتاؤ تو اگر میں اپنے رب کی طرف سے روشن دلیل پر ہوں اور اس نے مجھے اپنے پاس سے رحمت بخشی تو مجھے اس سے کون بچائے گا اگر میں اس کی نافرمانی کروں تو تم مجھے سوا نقصان کے کچھ نہ بڑھاؤ گے - Ahmed Raza

صالح(ع) نے کہا اے میری قوم! کیا تم نے کبھی اس بات پر غور کیا ہے کہ اگر میں اپنے پروردگار کی طرف سے ایک روشن دلیل پر ہوں اور اس نے مجھے اپنی خاص رحمت بھی عطا فرمائی ہے تو اگر میں اس کی نافرمانی کروں تو اس کے مقابلہ میں کون میری مدد کرے گا؟ تم تو میرے خسارے میں اضافہ کے سوا اور کچھ نہیں کر سکتے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

[And O nation!
هَٰذِهِۦ
This is
نَاقَةُ
elegance of
ٱللَّهِ
the One
لَكُمْ
to you
ءَايَةًۭ
as a sign,
فَذَرُوهَا
thus allow it to
تَأْكُلْ
shine
فِىٓ
in
أَرْضِ
land of
ٱللَّهِ
the One,
وَلَا
and do not
تَمَسُّوهَا
feel it
بِسُوٓءٍۢ
with malice,
فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ
because then you will be taken by
عَذَابٌۭ
a punishment
قَرِيبٌۭ
that is close.]
١١
٦٤
وَيَٰقَوْمِ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمْ ءَايَةًۭ فَذَرُوهَا تَأْكُلْ فِىٓ أَرْضِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍۢ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابٌۭ قَرِيبٌۭ [And O nation! This is elegance of the One to you as a sign, thus allow it to shine in land of the One, and do not feel it with malice, because then you will be taken by a punishment that is close.]

O my people! This is the camel of Allah, a token unto you, so suffer her to feed in Allah's earth, and touch her not with harm lest a near torment seize you. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O my people! This she-camel of Allah is a sign for you. Let her graze [freely] in Allah]s land, and do not cause her any harm, for then you shall be seized by a prompt punishment.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
My people, this is the she-camel of God, a miracle (to support the truth which has been brought) to you. Leave her to graze in the land of God. Do not harm her with your evil deeds lest torment will suddenly strike you.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And, O my people! this will be (as) Allah's she-camel for you, a sign; therefore leave her to pasture on Allah's earth and do not touch her with evil, for then a near chastisement will overtake you. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
My people! This she-camel of God is a sign for you. So leave her alone to graze on God's earth. And do her no harm, lest you should be instantly afflicted with a torment.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اے قوم یہ ناقہ اللہ کی طرف سے ایک نشانی ہے اسے آزاد چھوڑ دو تاکہ زمین هخدا میں چین سے کھائے اور اسے کسی طرح کی تکلیف نہ دینا کہ تمہیں جلدی ہی کوئی عذاب اپنی گرفت میں لے لے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اے میری قوم کے لوگو، دیکھو یہ اللہ کی اونٹنی تمہارے لیے ایک نشانی ہے اِسے خدا کی زمین میں چرنے کے لیے آزاد چھوڑ دو اِس سے ذرا تعرض نہ کرنا ورنہ کچھ زیادہ دیر نہ گزرے گی کہ تم پر خدا کا عذاب آ جائے گا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اے میری قوم! یہ اللہ کا ناقہ ہے تمہارے لیے نشانی تو اسے چھوڑ دو کہ اللہ کی زمین میں کھائے اور اسے بری طرح ہاتھ نہ لگانا کہ تم کو نزدیک عذاب پہنچے گا - Ahmed Raza

اور اے میری قوم! یہ اللہ کی خاص اونٹنی ہے جو تمہارے لئے ایک خاص نشانی (معجزہ) ہے پس اسے آزاد چھوڑ دو۔ تاکہ اللہ کی زمین سے کھائے اور خبردار اسے کسی قسم کی اذیت نہ پہنچانا۔ ورنہ بہت جلد عذاب تمہیں آپکڑے گا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

But they captured it.
فَقَالَ
Thus said (Saleh),
تَمَتَّعُوا۟
[Enjoy yourself
فِى
in
دَارِكُمْ
your circles
ثَلَٰثَةَ
three
أَيَّامٍۢ
periods.
ۖ
ذَٰلِكَ
That is a
وَعْدٌ
promise
غَيْرُ
without
مَكْذُوبٍۢ
a lie.]
١١
٦٥
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فِى دَارِكُمْ ثَلَٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍۢ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوبٍۢ But they captured it. Thus said (Saleh), [Enjoy yourself in your circles three periods. That is a promise without a lie.]

But they hamstrung her, and then he said: Enjoy life in your dwelling-place three days! This is a threat that will not be belied. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
But they hamstrung her, whereupon he said, [Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days: that is a promise not to be belied!] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
When they slew the she-camel, Salih told them, [You have only three days to enjoy living in your homes (before you will be struck by the torment). This is an inevitable prophecy.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
But they slew her, so he said: Enjoy yourselves in your abode for three days, that is a promise not to be belied. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
But they hamstrung her. He [Salih] said, [Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three more days. This warning will not prove false.] - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
اس کے بعد بھی ان لوگوں نے اس کی کونچیں کاٹ دیں تو صالح نے کہا کہ اب اپنے گھروں میں تین دن تک اور آرام کرو کہ یہ وعدہ الٰہی ہے جو غلط نہیں ہوسکتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

مگر انہوں نے اونٹنی کو مار ڈالا اس پر صالحؑ نے اُن کو خبردار کر دیا کہ ——بس اب تین دن اپنے گھروں میں اور رہ بس لو یہ ایسی میعاد ہے جو جھوٹی نہ ثابت ہوگی—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو انہوں نے اس کی کونچیں کاٹیں تو صا لح نے کہا اپنے گھرو ں میں تین دن اور برت لو (فائدہ اٹھالو) یہ وعدہ ہے کہ جھوٹا نہ ہوگا - Ahmed Raza

پس ان لوگوں نے اس کی کونچیں کاٹ دیں (اسے مار ڈالا) تب صالح(ع) نے کہا کہ اب تین دن تک اپنے گھروں میں فائدہ اٹھا لو (کھا پی لو) یہ وہ وعدہ ہے جو جھوٹا نہیں ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Then when
جَآءَ
came
أَمْرُنَا
Our command,
نَجَّيْنَا
We saved
صَٰلِحًۭا
Saleh
وَٱلَّذِينَ
and the ones who
ءَامَنُوا۟
had conviction
مَعَهُۥ
with him
بِرَحْمَةٍۢ
with grace
مِّنَّا
from Us,
وَمِنْ
and from
خِزْىِ
humiliation
يَوْمِئِذٍ
that day;
ۗ
إِنَّ
assuredly
رَبَّكَ
your Rabb
هُوَ
is
ٱلْقَوِىُّ
the Most Powerful,
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
the Most Strong.

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا صَٰلِحًۭا وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ بِرَحْمَةٍۢ مِّنَّا وَمِنْ خِزْىِ يَوْمِئِذٍ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ ٱلْقَوِىُّ ٱلْعَزِيزُ Then when came Our command, We saved Saleh and the ones who had conviction with him with grace from Us, and from humiliation that day; assuredly your Rabb is the Most Powerful, the Most Strong.

So, when Our commandment came to pass, We saved Salih, and those who believed with him, by a mercy from Us, from the ignominy of that day. Lo, thy Lord! He is the Strong, the Mighty. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So when Our edict came, We delivered Salih and the faithful who were with him by a mercy from Us and from the [punishment and] disgrace of that day. Your Lord is indeed the All-strong, the All-mighty. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When Our decree came to pass. We mercifully saved Salih and his faithful followers from that day's ignominy. Your Lord is certainly Mighty and Majestic. - Sarwar, Muhammad

اس کے بعد جب ہمارا حکم عذاب آپہنچا تو ہم نے صالح اور ان کے ساتھ کے صاحبانِ ایمان کو اپنی رحمت سے اپنے عذاب اور اس دن کی رسوائی سے بچالیا کہ تمہارا پروردگار صاحب هقوت اور سب پر غالب ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

آخر کار جب ہمارے فیصلے کا وقت آ گیا تو ہم نے اپنی رحمت سے صالحؑ کو اور اُن لوگوں کو جو اس کے ساتھ ایمان لائے تھے بچا لیا اور اُس دن کی رسوائی سے ان کو محفوظ رکھا بے شک تیرا رب ہی دراصل طاقتور اور بالا دست ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala
