قَالَ
(The One) said,
يَٰنُوحُ
[O Nooh!
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed he is
لَيْسَ
not
مِنْ
from
أَهْلِكَ
your family;
ۖ
إِنَّهُۥ
surely he
عَمَلٌ
acted as
غَيْرُ
counter
صَٰلِحٍۢ
productive,
ۖ
فَلَا
so do not
تَسْـَٔلْنِ
question
مَا
that which
لَيْسَ
for not is
لَكَ
with you
بِهِۦ
about it
عِلْمٌ
any knowledge,
ۖ
إِنِّىٓ
I am
أَعِظُكَ
advising you
أَن
against
تَكُونَ
being
مِنَ
from
ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ
the ignorant.]
١١
٤٦
قَالَ يَٰنُوحُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِكَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَٰلِحٍۢ ۖ فَلَا تَسْـَٔلْنِ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلْمٌ ۖ إِنِّىٓ أَعِظُكَ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ (The One) said, [O Nooh! Indeed he is not from your family; surely he acted as counter productive, so do not question that which for not is with you about it any knowledge, I am advising you against being from the ignorant.]

He said: O Noah! Lo! he is not of thy household; lo! he is of evil conduct, so ask not of Me that whereof thou hast no knowledge. I admonish thee lest thou be among the ignorant. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Said He, [O Noah! Indeed, He is not of your family. Indeed, he is [personification of] unrighteous conduct. So do not ask Me [something] of which you have no knowledge. I advise you lest you should be among the ignorant.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

His Lord replied, [He is not one of your family. He is a man of unrighteous deeds. Do not ask me about that which you have no knowledge. I advise you not to become an ignorant person.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

He said: O Nuh! surely he is not of your family; surely he is (the doer of) other than good deeds, therefore ask not of Me that of which you have no knowledge; surely I admonish you lest you may be of the ignorant - Shakir, Habib

God said, [Noah, he was not one of your family. For, indeed, he was unrighteous in his conduct. Do not question Me about something of which you have no knowledge; I admonish you lest you become like an ignorant man.] - Wahiduddin Khan

ارشاد ہوا کہ نوح یہ تمہارے اہل سے نہیں ہے یہ عمل هغیر صالح ہے لہذا مجھ سے اس چیز کے بارے میں سوال نہ کرو جس کا تمہیں علم نہیں ہے -میں تمہیں نصیحت کرتا ہوں کہ تمہارا شمار جاہلوں میں نہ ہوجائے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

جواب میں ارشاد ہوا ——اے نوحؑ، وہ تیرے گھر والوں میں سے نہیں ہے، وہ تو ایک بگڑا ہوا کام ہے، لہٰذا تو اُس بات کی مجھ سے درخواست نہ کر جس کی حقیقت تو نہیں جانتا، میں تجھے نصیحت کرتا ہوں کہ اپنے آپ کو جاہلوں کی طرح نہ بنا لے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

فرمایا اے نوح! وہ تیرے گھر والوں میں نہیں بیشک اس کے کام بڑے نالائق ہیں، تو مجھ سے وہ بات نہ مانگ جس کا تجھے علم نہیں میں تجھے نصیحت فرماتا ہوں کہ نادان نہ بن، - Ahmed Raza

ارشاد ہوا۔ اے نوح وہ تیرے اہل میں سے نہیں ہے وہ تو مجسم عملِ بد ہے پس جس چیز کا تمہیں علم نہیں ہے اس کے بارے میں مجھ سے سوال نہ کر میں تمہیں نصیحت کرتا ہوں کہ جاہلوں میں سے نہ ہو جانا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

(Nooh) said,
رَبِّ
[Rabb!
إِنِّىٓ
I am
أَعُوذُ
seeking refuge
بِكَ
with You,
أَنْ

أَسْـَٔلَكَ
I question

for that which
لَيْسَ
not is
لِى
for me
بِهِۦ
about it
عِلْمٌۭ
any knowledge,
ۖ
وَإِلَّا
and without
تَغْفِرْ
Your pardon
لِى
for me
وَتَرْحَمْنِىٓ
and Your mercy for me
أَكُن
I am
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
the losers.]
١١
٤٧
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْـَٔلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِى بِهِۦ عِلْمٌۭ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِى وَتَرْحَمْنِىٓ أَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ (Nooh) said, [Rabb! I am seeking refuge with You, that I question for that which not is for me about it any knowledge, and without Your pardon for me and Your mercy for me I am of the losers.]

He said: My Lord! Lo! in Thee do I seek refuge (from the sin) that I should ask of Thee that whereof I have no knowledge. Unless Thou forgive me and have mercy on me I shall be among the lost. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

He said, [My Lord! I seek Your protection lest I should ask You something of which I have no knowledge. If You do not forgive me and have mercy upon me I shall be among the losers.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Noah said, [Lord, I ask You to prevent me from asking You ignorant questions and beg you for pardon and mercy or else I shall certainly be lost]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

He said: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from asking Thee that of which I have no knowledge; and if Thou shouldst not forgive me and have mercy on me, I should be of the losers. - Shakir, Habib

He said, [My Lord, I take refuge with You from asking You something of which I have no knowledge. If You do not forgive me and show me mercy, I shall be one of the losers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

نوح نے کہا کہ خدایا میں اس بات سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں کہ اس چیز کا سوال کروں جس کا علم نہ ہو اور اگر تو مجھے معاف نہ کرے گا اور مجھ پر رحم نہ کرے گا تو میں خسارہ والوں میں ہوجاؤں گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نوحؑ نے فوراً عرض کیا ——اے میرے رب، میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں اِس سے کہ وہ چیز تجھ سے مانگوں جس کا مجھے علم نہیں اگر تو نے مجھ معاف نہ کیا اور رحم نہ فرمایا تو میں برباد ہو جاؤں گا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

عرض کیا اے میرے پروردگار! میں اس بات سے تیری بارگاہ میں پناہ مانگتا ہوں کہ میں تجھ سے ایسی چیز کا سوال کروں جس کا مجھے علم نہیں ہے۔ اور اگر تو نے مجھے نہ بخشا اور مجھ پر رحم نہ کیا تو میں نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں سے ہو جاؤں گا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

قِيلَ
Was said,
يَٰنُوحُ
[O Nooh!
ٱهْبِطْ
Be humbled
بِسَلَٰمٍۢ
with safety
مِّنَّا
from Us,
وَبَرَكَٰتٍ
and prosperity be
عَلَيْكَ
upon you
وَعَلَىٰٓ
and upon
أُمَمٍۢ
nations
مِّمَّن
from those who are
مَّعَكَ
with you;
ۚ
وَأُمَمٌۭ
and (some) nations
سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ
will have enjoyment for them,
ثُمَّ
then
يَمَسُّهُم
will touch them
مِّنَّا
from Us
عَذَابٌ
a punishment
أَلِيمٌۭ
that is painful.]
١١
٤٨
قِيلَ يَٰنُوحُ ٱهْبِطْ بِسَلَٰمٍۢ مِّنَّا وَبَرَكَٰتٍ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰٓ أُمَمٍۢ مِّمَّن مَّعَكَ ۚ وَأُمَمٌۭ سَنُمَتِّعُهُمْ ثُمَّ يَمَسُّهُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ Was said, [O Nooh! Be humbled with safety from Us, and prosperity be upon you and upon nations from those who are with you; and (some) nations will have enjoyment for them, then will touch them from Us a punishment that is painful.]

It was said (unto him): O Noah! Go thou down (from the mountain) with peace from Us and blessings upon thee and some nations (that will spring) from those with thee. (There will be other) nations unto whom We shall give enjoyment a long while and then a painful doom from Us will overtake them. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It was said, [O Noah! Disembark in peace from Us and with [Our] blessings upon you and upon nations [to descend] from those who are with you, and nations whom We shall provide for, then a painful punishment from Us shall befall them.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Noah was told, [Get down from the Ark. Your Lord's peace and blessings are upon you and your followers. Your Lord will grant favors to other nations and then afflict them with a painful torment.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
It was said: O Nuh! descend with peace from Us and blessings on you and on the people from among those who are with you, and there shall be nations whom We will afford provisions, then a painful punishment from Us shall afflict them. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
God said, [Noah, go ashore in peace; Our blessings upon you and upon the people who are with you and upon some of the descendants of those who are with you. [As for the unrighteous] We shall grant provision for a time, then a grievous punishment from Us shall afflict them.] - Wahiduddin Khan

ارشاد ہوا کہ نوح ہماری طرف سے سلامتی اور برکتوں کے ساتھ کشتی سے اترو یہ سلامتی اور برکت تمہارے ساتھ کی قوم پر ہے اور کچھ قومیں ہیں جنہیں ہم پہلے راحت دیں گے اس کے بعد ہماری طرف سے دردناک عذاب ملے گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

حکم ہوا ——اے نوحؑ اتر جا، ہماری طرف سے سلامتی اور برکتیں ہیں تجھ پر اور ان گروہوں پر جو تیرے ساتھ ہیں، اور کچھ گروہ ایسے بھی ہیں جن کو ہم کچھ مدت سامان زندگی بخشیں گے پھر انہیں ہماری طرف سے درد ناک عذاب پہنچے گا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

فرمایا گیا اے نوح! کشتی سے اتر ہماری طرف سے سلام اور برکتوں کےساتھ جو تجھ پر ہیں اور تیرے ساتھ کے کچھ گروہوں پر اور کچھ گروہ ہیں جنہیں ہم دنیا برتنے دیں گے پھر انہیں ہماری طرف سے دردناک عذاب پہنچے گا - Ahmed Raza

ارشاد ہوا۔ اے نوح(ع) اترو۔ ہماری طرف سے سلامتی اور برکتیں ہوں تم پر اور ان گروہوں پر جو تمہارے ساتھ ہیں (یا بالفاظ مناسب تمہارے ساتھ والوں سے پیدا ہونے والی نسلوں پر) اور تمہارے بعد کچھ ایسے گروہ بھی ہوں گے جنہیں ہم کچھ مدت کیلئے (دنیاوی) فائدہ اٹھانے کا موقع دیں گے پھر (انجامِ کار) انہیں ہماری طرف سے دردناک عذاب پہنچے گا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

تَعْلَمُهَآ
aware of it
أَنتَ
you,
وَلَا
and not
قَوْمُكَ
your nation
مِن
from
قَبْلِ
before
هَٰذَا
this;
ۖ
فَٱصْبِرْ
thus persevere;
ۖ
إِنَّ
surely
ٱلْعَٰقِبَةَ
the succession
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
belongs to the mindful ones.
١١
٤٩
تِلْكَ مِنْ أَنۢبَآءِ ٱلْغَيْبِ نُوحِيهَآ إِلَيْكَ ۖ مَا كُنتَ تَعْلَمُهَآ أَنتَ وَلَا قَوْمُكَ مِن قَبْلِ هَٰذَا ۖ فَٱصْبِرْ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلْعَٰقِبَةَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ These are of informations of the unseen being conveyed to you; not were aware of it you, and not your nation from before this; thus persevere; surely the succession belongs to the mindful ones.

This is of the tidings of the Unseen which We inspire in thee (Muhammad). Thou thyself knewest it not, nor did thy folk (know it) before this. Then have patience. Lo! the sequel is for those who ward off (evil). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

These are accounts of the Unseen, which We reveal to you. Neither you nor your people used to know them before this. So be patient. Indeed the outcome will be in favour of the Godwary. - Qarai, Ali Quli

That which We have revealed to you (Muhammad) is news of the unseen. This was not known to you and to your people. Have patience. The pious will triumph in the end. - Sarwar, Muhammad

These are announcements relating to the unseen which We reveal to you, you did not know them-- (neither) you nor your people-- before this; therefore be patient; surely the end is for those who guard (against evil). - Shakir, Habib

These are tidings of the unseen that We reveal to you, [O Prophet], which you did not know before, nor did your people, so be patient: the future belongs to the God-fearing. - Wahiduddin Khan

پیغمبر علیھ السّلامیہ غیب کی خبریں ہیں جن کی ہم آپ کی طرف وحی کررہے ہیں جن کا علم نہ آپ کو تھا اور نہ آپ کی قوم کو لہذا آپ صبر کریں کہ انجام صاحبان هتقویٰ کے ہاتھ میں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اے محمدؐ، یہ غیب کی خبریں ہیں جو ہم تمہاری طرف وحی کر رہے ہیں اس سے پہلے نہ تم ان کو جانتے تھے اور نہ تمہاری قوم، پس صبر کرو، ا نجام کار متقیوں ہی کے حق میں ہے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

یہ غیب کی خبریں ہم تمہاری طرف وحی کرتے ہیں انہیں نہ تم جانتے تھے نہ تمہاری قوم اس سے پہلے، تو صبر کرو بیشک بھلا انجام پرہیزگاروں کا - Ahmed Raza

(اے رسول) یہ (قصہ) ان غیب کی خبروں میں سے ہے جسے ہم وحی کے ذریعہ سے آپ تک پہنچا رہے ہیں اس سے پہلے نہ آپ کو ان کا (تفصیلی) علم تھا اور نہ آپ کی قوم کو۔ آپ صبر کریں۔ بے شک (اچھا) انجام پرہیزگاروں کے لئے ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And towards
عَادٍ
'Aad
أَخَاهُمْ
their brother
هُودًۭا
Hood,
ۚ
قَالَ
who said,
يَٰقَوْمِ
[O nation!
ٱعْبُدُوا۟
Be in servitude of
ٱللَّهَ
the One
مَا
— not
لَكُم
for you is
مِّنْ
of
إِلَٰهٍ
a master
غَيْرُهُۥٓ
other than Him;
ۖ
إِنْ
indeed
أَنتُمْ
you are
إِلَّا
nothing but
مُفْتَرُونَ
fabricators.]
١١
٥٠
وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًۭا ۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ And towards 'Aad their brother Hood, who said, [O nation! Be in servitude of the One — not for you is of a master other than Him; indeed you are nothing but fabricators.]

And unto (the tribe of) A'ad (We sent) their brother, Hud. He said: O my people! Serve Allah! Ye have no other Allah save Him. Lo! ye do but invent. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
And to [Ad [We sent] Hud, their brother. He said, [O my people! Worship Allah. You have no other god besides Him: you merely fabricate [the deities that you worship]. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
To the tribe of Ad We sent their brother Hud who told them, [Worship God; He is your only Lord. The idols that you worship are plainly false. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And to Ad (We sent) their brother Hud. He said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than He; you are nothing but forgers (of lies). - Shakir, Habib
⦿
To 'Ad We sent their brother Hud. He said, [O my people, worship God alone; you have no god but Him. You do nothing but fabricate lies. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے قوم عاد کی طرف ان کے بھائی ہود کو بھیجا تو انہوں نے کہا قوم والو اللہ کی عبادت کرو-اس کے علاوہ تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں ہے.تم صرف افترا کرنے والے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور عاد کی طرف ہم نے ان کے بھائی ہودؑ کو بھیجا اُس نے کہا ——اے برادران قوم، اللہ کی بندگی کرو، تمہارا کوئی خدا اُس کے سوا نہیں ہے تم نے محض جھوٹ گھڑ رکھے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور عاد کی طرف ان کے ہم قوم ہود کو کہا اے میری قوم! اللہ کو پوجو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں، تم تو بڑے مفتری (بالکل جھوٹے الزام عائد کرنے والے) ہو - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے قومِ عاد کی طرف ان کے بھائی ہود کو بھیجا۔ انہوں نے کہا اے میری قوم! اللہ ہی کی عبادت کرو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی الٰہ نہیں ہے تم محض افترا پردازی کر رہے ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ
I ask of you
عَلَيْهِ
upon it
أَجْرًا
a reward,
ۖ
إِنْ
indeed
أَجْرِىَ
my reward is
إِلَّا
not but
عَلَى
upon
ٱلَّذِى
the Entity
فَطَرَنِىٓ
who produced me;
ۚ
أَفَلَا
then why not
تَعْقِلُونَ
you use reason?]

٥١
يَٰقَوْمِ لَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِىٓ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ [O nation! Not I ask of you upon it a reward, indeed my reward is not but upon the Entity who produced me; then why not you use reason?]

O my people! I ask of you no reward for it. Lo! my reward is the concern only of Him Who made me. Have ye then no sense? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

[O my people! I do not ask you any reward for it. My reward lies only with Him who originated me. Do you not exercise your reason? - Qarai, Ali Quli

My people, I do not ask any reward for what I have preached to you. No one can give me my reward except my Creator. Will you then not take heed? - Sarwar, Muhammad

وَيَٰقَوْمِ
[And o nation!
ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟
Ask forgiveness of
رَبَّكُمْ
your Rabb
ثُمَّ
then
تُوبُوٓا۟
turn
إِلَيْهِ
towards Him,
يُرْسِلِ
He will send
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
the heavens
عَلَيْكُم
upon you
مِّدْرَارًۭا
in abundance
وَيَزِدْكُمْ
and will amplify your
قُوَّةً
power
إِلَىٰ
with
قُوَّتِكُمْ
your strength,
وَلَا
and do not
تَتَوَلَّوْا۟
protect
مُجْرِمِينَ
the criminals.]
١١
٥٢
وَيَٰقَوْمِ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًۭا وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً إِلَىٰ قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوْا۟ مُجْرِمِينَ [And o nation! Ask forgiveness of your Rabb then turn towards Him, He will send the heavens upon you in abundance and will amplify your power with your strength, and do not protect the criminals.]

And, O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, then turn unto Him repentant; He will cause the sky to rain abundance on you and will add unto you strength to your strength. Turn not away, guilty! - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
[O my people! Plead with your Lord for forgiveness, then turn to Him penitently: He will send copious rains for you from the sky, and add power to your [present] power. So do not turn your backs [on Him] as guilty ones.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

[My people, seek forgiveness from your Lord and turn to Him in repentance. He will send you abundant rain from the sky and will increase your power. Do not sinfully turn away from Him.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And, O my people! ask forgiveness of your Lord, then turn to Him; He will send on you clouds pouring down abundance of rain and add strength to your strength, and do not turn back guilty. - Shakir, Habib

My people, seek forgiveness of your Lord and turn to Him in repentance. He will send from the sky abundant rain upon you; He will add strength to your strength. Do not turn away from Him as evil-doers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اے قوم خدا سے استغفار کرو اس کے بعد اس کی طرف ہمہ تن متوجہ ہوجاؤ وہ آسمان سے موسلادھار پانی برسائے گا اور تمہاری موجودہ قوت میں قوت کا اضافہ کردے گا اور خبردار مجرموں کی طرح منہ نہ پھیرلینا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اے میری قوم کے لوگو، اپنے رب سے معافی چاہو، پھر اس کی طرف پلٹو، وہ تم پر آسمان کے دہانے کھول دے گا اور تمہاری موجودہ قوت پر مزید قوت کا اضافہ کرے گا مجرموں کی طرح منہ نہ پھیرو—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اے میری قوم اپنے رب سے معافی چاہو پھر اس کی طرف رجوع لاؤ تم پر زور کا پانی بھیجے گا، اور تم میں جتنی قوت ہے اس سے زیادہ دے گا اور جرم کرتے ہوئے روگردانی نہ کرو - Ahmed Raza

اور اے میری قوم! اپنے پروردگار سے مغفرت طلب کرو۔ اور اس کی بارگاہ میں توبہ کرو (اس کی طرف رجوع کرو) وہ تم پر آسمان سے موسلادھار بارش برسائے گا۔ اور تمہاری (موجودہ) قوت میں مزید اضافہ کر دے گا۔ اور (میری دعوت سے) جرم کرتے ہوئے منہ نہ موڑو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

قَالُوا۟
They said,
يَٰهُودُ
[O Hood!
مَا
Not
جِئْتَنَا
you have come to us
بِبَيِّنَةٍۢ
with clarifications,
وَمَا
and not
نَحْنُ
we are
بِتَارِكِىٓ
going to leave behind
ءَالِهَتِنَا
our masters
عَن
against
قَوْلِكَ
your word,
وَمَا
and not
نَحْنُ
we are
لَكَ
to you
بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
with ones of conviction.]
١١
٥٣
قَالُوا۟ يَٰهُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍۢ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِىٓ ءَالِهَتِنَا عَن قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ They said, [O Hood! Not you have come to us with clarifications, and not we are going to leave behind our masters against your word, and not we are to you with ones of conviction.]

They said: O Hud! Thou hast brought us no clear proof and we are not going to forsake our gods on thy (mere) saying, and we are not believers in thee. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
They said, [O Hud, you have not brought us any manifest proof. We are not going to abandon our gods for what you say, and we are not going to believe you. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
They said, [Hud, you have not shown us any miracles. We shall not give up our idols because of what you say and we shall not have any faith in you. - Sarwar, Muhammad

They said: O Hud! you have not brought to us any clear argument and we are not going to desert our gods for your word, and we are not believers in you: - Shakir, Habib
⦿
They replied, [Hud, you have not brought us any clear evidence and we shall not forsake our deities merely at your behest, nor will we believe in you. - Wahiduddin Khan

ان لوگوں نے کہا اے ہود تم کوئی معجزہ تو لائے نہیں اور ہم صرف تمہارے کہنے پر اپنے خداؤں کو چھوڑنے والے اور تمہاری بات پر ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

انہوں نے جواب دیا ——اے ہودؑ، تو ہمارے پاس کوئی صریح شہادت لے کر نہیں آیا ہے، اور تیرے کہنے سے ہم اپنے معبودوں کو نہیں چھوڑ سکتے، اور تجھ پر ہم ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بولے اے ہود تم کوئی دلیل لے کر ہمارے پاس نہ آئے اور ہم خالی تمہارے کہنے سے اپنے خداؤں کو چھوڑنے کے نہیں نہ تمہاری بات پر یقین لائیں، - Ahmed Raza

[In fact,
نَّقُولُ
we say that
إِلَّا
its nothing else but that
ٱعْتَرَىٰكَ
have afflicted you

ءَالِهَتِنَا
our masters
بِسُوٓءٍۢ
with malice.]
ۗ
قَالَ
(Hood) said,
إِنِّىٓ
[I am
أُشْهِدُ
making witness
ٱللَّهَ
the One,
وَٱشْهَدُوٓا۟
and (He) testifies that
أَنِّى
I am
بَرِىٓءٌۭ
vindicated
مِّمَّا
from what
تُشْرِكُونَ
you are adding up...]

٥٤
إِن نَّقُولُ إِلَّا ٱعْتَرَىٰكَ بَعْضُ ءَالِهَتِنَا بِسُوٓءٍۢ ۗ قَالَ إِنِّىٓ أُشْهِدُ ٱللَّهَ وَٱشْهَدُوٓا۟ أَنِّى بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ [In fact, we say that its nothing else but that have afflicted you some of our masters with malice.] (Hood) said, [I am making witness the One, and (He) testifies that I am vindicated from what you are adding up...]

We say naught save that one of our gods hath possessed thee in an evil way. He said: I call Allah to witness, and do ye (too) bear witness, that I am innocent of (all) that ye ascribe as partners (to Allah) - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
All we say is that some of our gods have visited you with some evil.] He said, [I call Allah to witness—and you too be [my] witnesses—that I repudiate what you take as [His] partners - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
We believe that some of our gods have afflicted you with evil.] Hud said, [God is my witness and so are you that I have no association - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
We cannot say aught but that some of our gods have smitten you with evil. He said: Surely I call Allah to witness, and do you bear witness too, that I am clear of what you associate (with Allah). - Shakir, Habib
⦿
We can only say that some of our gods have stricken you with evil.] He said, [I call God to witness, and you also bear witness, that I disown those which you associate with God. - Wahiduddin Khan

ہم صرف یہ کہنا چاہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے خداؤں میں سے کسی نے آپ کو دیوانہ بنادیا ہے -ہود نے کہا کہ میں خدا کو گواہ بناکر کہتا ہوں اور تم بھی گواہ رہنا کہ میں تمہارے شرک سے بیزار ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

ہم تو یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ تیرے اوپر ہمارے معبودوں میں سے کسی کی مار پڑ گئی ہے—— ہودؑ نے کہا ——میں اللہ کی شہادت پیش کرتا ہوں اور تم گواہ رہو کہ یہ جو اللہ کے سوا دوسروں کو تم نے خدائی میں شریک ٹھیرا رکھا ہے اس سے میں بیزار ہوں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

ہم تو یہی کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے کسی خدا کی تمہیں بری جھپٹ (پکڑ) پہنچی کہا میں اللہ کو گواہ کرتا ہوں اور تم سب گواہ ہوجاؤ کہ میں بیزار ہوں ان سب سے جنہیں تم اللہ کے سوا اس کا شریک ٹھہراتے ہو، - Ahmed Raza

ہم تو بس یہی کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے خداؤں میں سے کسی خدا نے آپ کو کچھ (دماغی) نقصان پہنچا دیا ہے۔ انہوں (ہود) نے ان لوگوں کو کہا کہ میں اللہ کو گواہ ٹھہراتا ہوں۔ اور تم بھی گواہ رہو۔ کہ میں ان سے بیزار ہوں جن کو تم نے (حقیقی خدا کو چھوڑ کر) اس کا شریک بنا رکھا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Beside Him. So (try to) circumvent me, all of you, give me no respite. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

a creature
إِلَّا
except that
هُوَ
He
ءَاخِذٌۢ
accepts
بِنَاصِيَتِهَآ
by its testimony;
ۚ
إِنَّ
surely
رَبِّى
my Rabb is
عَلَىٰ
upon
صِرَٰطٍۢ
a path
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
that is stable.]
١١
٥٦
إِنِّى تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ رَبِّى وَرَبِّكُم ۚ مَّا مِن دَآبَّةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ ءَاخِذٌۢ بِنَاصِيَتِهَآ ۚ إِنَّ رَبِّى عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ [I am reliant upon the One — my Rabb and your Rabb — not there is from a creature except that He accepts by its testimony; surely my Rabb is upon a path that is stable.]

Lo! I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Not an animal but He doth grasp it by the forelock! Lo! my Lord is on a straight path. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Indeed I have put my trust in Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no living being but He holds it by its forelock. Indeed my Lord is on a straight path. - Qarai, Ali Quli

I trust God who is my Lord as well as yours. It is God who controls the destiny of all living creatures. It is my Lord who knows the right path. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Surely I rely on Allah, my Lord and your Lord; there is no living creature but He holds it by its forelock; surely my Lord is on the right path. - Shakir, Habib

I have put my trust in God, my Lord and your Lord. For there is no living creature which He does not hold by its forelock. My Lord is on the straight path. - Wahiduddin Khan
