وَيَٰقَوْمِ
[And O my nation!
لَآ
Not
أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ
I ask you
عَلَيْهِ
upon it
مَالًا
any material thing;
ۖ
إِنْ
certainly
أَجْرِىَ
my reward is
إِلَّا
none but
عَلَى
upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One;
ۚ
وَمَآ
and not
أَنَا۠
I am
بِطَارِدِ
about abandoning
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ءَامَنُوٓا۟
are convinced;
ۚ
إِنَّهُم
certainly
مُّلَٰقُوا۟
they will meet with
رَبِّهِمْ
their Rabb,
وَلَٰكِنِّىٓ
where as I
أَرَىٰكُمْ
see you
قَوْمًۭا
as a nation that is
تَجْهَلُونَ
ignorant.]
١١
٢٩
وَيَٰقَوْمِ لَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مَالًا ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّهُم مُّلَٰقُوا۟ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَٰكِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰكُمْ قَوْمًۭا تَجْهَلُونَ [And O my nation! Not I ask you upon it any material thing; certainly my reward is none but upon the One; and not I am about abandoning the ones who are convinced; certainly they will meet with their Rabb, where as I see you as a nation that is ignorant.]

And O my people! I ask of you no wealth therefor. My reward is the concern only of Allah, and I am not going to thrust away those who believe - Lo! they have to meet their Lord! - but I see you a folk that are ignorant. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O my people! I do not ask you any material reward for it. My reward lies only with Allah. But I will not drive away those who have faith: they will indeed encounter their Lord. But I see that you are an ignorant lot. - Qarai, Ali Quli

My people I do not ask any payment for what I preach to you. No one except God has to give me any reward. I do not drive away those who have faith (in my teaching); they will all receive mercy from their Lord. I know that you are ignorant people. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And, O my people! I ask you not for wealth in return for it; my reward is only with Allah and I am not going to drive away those who believe; surely they shall meet their Lord, but I consider you a people who are ignorant: - Shakir, Habib

اے قوم میں تم سے کوئی مال تو نہیں چاہتا ہوں -میرا اجر تو اللہ کے ذمہ ہے اور میں صاحبان هایمان کو نکال بھی نہیں سکتا ہوں کہ وہ لوگ اپنے پروردگار سے ملاقات کرنے والے ہیں البتہ میں تم کو ایک جاہل قوم تصور کررہا ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اے برادران قوم، میں اِس کام پر تم سے کوئی مال نہیں مانگتا، میرا اجر تو اللہ کے ذمہ ہے اور میں اُن لوگوں کو دھکے دینے سے بھی رہا جنہوں نے میری بات مانی ہے، وہ آپ ہی اپنے رب کے حضور جانے والے ہیں مگر میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ تم لوگ جہالت برت رہے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اے قوم! میں تم سے کچھ اس پر مال نہیں مانگتا میرا اجر تو اللہ ہی پر ہے اور میں مسلمانوں کو دور کرنے والا نہیں بیشک وہ اپنے رب سے ملنے والے ہیں لیکن میں تم کو نرے جاہل لوگ پا تا ہوں - Ahmed Raza

اے میری قوم! میں اس (تبلیغِ حق) پر تم سے کوئی مالی معاوضہ طلب نہیں کرتا۔ میرا معاوضہ اللہ کے ذمے ہے اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں (وہ تمہاری نگاہ میں جس قدر پست ہوں) میں ان کو اپنے پاس سے نکال نہیں سکتا۔ بے شک وہ اپنے پروردگار کی بارگاہ میں حاضری دینے والے ہیں البتہ میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ تم جہالت سے کام لینے والے لوگ ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَيَٰقَوْمِ
[And O my nation!
مَن
Who (do you think)
يَنصُرُنِى
will save me
مِنَ
from
ٱللَّهِ
the One
إِن
if
طَرَدتُّهُمْ
I banish them?
ۚ
أَفَلَا
Then why do not
تَذَكَّرُونَ
you remember?]
[And O my nation! Who (do you think) will save me from the One if I banish them? Then why do not you remember?]
⦿
And, O my people! who would deliver me from Allah if I thrust them away? Will ye not then reflect? - Pickthall, Marmaduke

O my people! Who would come to my help against Allah were I to drive them away? Will you not then take admonition? - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
My people, who would protect me against God if I were to drive these people away? Will you then not take heed? - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And, O my people! who will help me against Allah if I drive them away? Will you not then mind? - Shakir, Habib
⦿
My people, who would support me against God if I were to drive them off? Will you not take heed? - Wahiduddin Khan

اے قوم میں ان لوگوں کو نکال باہر کردوں تو اللہ کی طرف سے میرا مددگار کون ہوگا کیا تمہیں ہوش نہیں آتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور اے قوم، اگر میں اِن لوگوں کو دھتکار دوں تو خدا کی پکڑ سے کون مجھے بچانے آئے گا؟ تم لوگوں کی سمجھ میں کیا اتنی بات بھی نہیں آتی؟ - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اے قوم مجھے اللہ سے کون بچالے گا اگر میں انہیں دور کروں گا، تو کیا تمہیں دھیان نہیں، - Ahmed Raza

اے میری قوم! اگر میں ان کو اپنے پاس سے نکال دوں تو اللہ کے مقابلہ میں کون میری مدد کرے گا۔ کیا تم اتنا بھی غور نہیں کرتے (اور نصیحت قبول نہیں کرتے؟) - Najafi, Muhammad

[And not
أَقُولُ
I am saying
لَكُمْ
to you that
عِندِى
near me are
خَزَآئِنُ
treasures of
ٱللَّهِ
the One,
وَلَآ
and not
أَعْلَمُ
I know of
ٱلْغَيْبَ
the invisible,
وَلَآ
and not
أَقُولُ
I say that
إِنِّى
I am
مَلَكٌۭ
a king,
وَلَآ
and not
أَقُولُ
I say
لِلَّذِينَ
for the ones who
تَزْدَرِىٓ
you disdain
أَعْيُنُكُمْ
in your eyes, that
لَن
never shall
يُؤْتِيَهُمُ
give them
ٱللَّهُ
the One
خَيْرًا
betterment;
ۖ
ٱللَّهُ
the One is
أَعْلَمُ
of knowledge
بِمَا
with what is
فِىٓ
in
أَنفُسِهِمْ
themselves;
ۖ
إِنِّىٓ
I am
إِذًۭا
in that case
لَّمِنَ
of the ones
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
who are in darkness.]
١١
٣١
وَلَآ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِى خَزَآئِنُ ٱللَّهِ وَلَآ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ وَلَآ أَقُولُ إِنِّى مَلَكٌۭ وَلَآ أَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ تَزْدَرِىٓ أَعْيُنُكُمْ لَن يُؤْتِيَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ خَيْرًا ۖ ٱللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ ۖ إِنِّىٓ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ [And not I am saying to you that near me are treasures of the One, and not I know of the invisible, and not I say that I am a king, and not I say for the ones who you disdain in your eyes, that never shall give them the One betterment; the One is of knowledge with what is in themselves; I am in that case of the ones who are in darkness.]

I say not unto you: [I have the treasures of Allah] nor [I have knowledge of the Unseen,] nor say I: [Lo! I am an angel!] Nor say I unto those whom your eyes scorn that Allah will not give them good - Allah knoweth best what is in their hearts - Lo! then indeed I should be of the wrong-doers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

I do not say to you that I possess the treasuries of Allah, neither do I know the Unseen. I do not claim to be an angel, neither do I say of those who are despicable in your eyes that Allah will not grant them any good—Allah knows best what is in their hearts—for then I would indeed be a wrongdoer.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

I do not say that God's treasures belong to me, that I know the unseen, or that I am an angel. Nor do I say about those whom you disdain that God will not give them any reward. God knows best what is in their hearts, for then I would be unjust.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And I do not say to you that I have the treasures of Allah and I do not know the unseen, nor do I say that I am an angel, nor do I say about those whom your eyes hold in mean estimation (that) Allah will never grant them (any) good-- Allah knows best what is in their souls-- for then most surely I should be of the unjust. - Shakir, Habib

اور میں تم سے یہ بھی نہیں کہتا ہوں کہ میرے پاس تمام خدائی خزانے موجود ہیں اور نہ ہر غیب کے جاننے کا دعوٰی کرتا ہوں اور نہ یہ کہتا ہوں کہ میں فرشتہ ہوں اور نہ جو لوگ تمہارے نگاہوں میں ذلیل ہیں ان کے بارے میں یہ کہتا ہوں کہ خدا انہیں خیر نہ دے گا -اللہ ان کے دلوں سے خوب باخبر ہے -میں ایسا کہہ دوں گا تو ظالموں میں شمار ہوجاؤں گا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور میں تم سے نہیں کہتا کہ میرے پاس اللہ کے خزانے ہیں، نہ یہ کہتا ہوں کہ میں غیب کا علم رکھتا ہوں، نہ یہ میرا دعویٰ ہے کہ میں فرشتہ ہوں اور یہ بھی میں نہیں کہہ سکتا کہ جن لوگوں کو تمہاری آنکھیں حقارت سے دیکھتی ہیں انہیں اللہ نے کوئی بھلائی نہیں دی ان کے نفس کا حال اللہ ہی بہتر جانتا ہے اگر میں ایسا کہوں تو ظالم ہوں گا—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور میں تم سے نہیں کہتا کہ میرے پاس اللہ کے خزانے ہیں اور نہ یہ کہ میں غیب جان جانتا ہوں اور نہ یہ کہتا ہوں کہ میں فرشتہ ہوں اور میں انہیں نہیں کہتا جن کو تمہاری نگاہیں حقیر سمجھتی ہیں کہ ہرگز انہیں اللہ کوئی بھلائی نہ دے گا، اللہ خوب جانتا ہے جو ان کے دلوں میں ہے ایسا کروں تو ضرور میں ظالموں میں سے ہوں - Ahmed Raza

اور (دیکھو) میں تم سے یہ نہیں کہتا کہ میرے پاس اللہ کے خزانے ہیں اور نہ یہ کہتا ہوں کہ میں غیب کا علم رکھتا ہوں اور نہ یہ کہتا ہوں کہ میں کوئی فرشتہ ہوں اور نہ ہی میں یہ کہتا ہوں کہ جن لوگوں کو تم حقارت کی نگاہ سے دیکھتے ہو کہ اللہ انہیں کوئی بھلائی عطا نہیں کرے گا اللہ ہی بہتر جانتا ہے جو کچھ ان کے دلوں میں ہے اگر میں ایسا کہوں تو ظالموں میں سے ہو جاؤں گا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

قَالُوا۟
They said,
يَٰنُوحُ
[O Nooh!
قَدْ
Certainly
جَٰدَلْتَنَا
you have argued with us
فَأَكْثَرْتَ
so increasingly
جِدَٰلَنَا
we have argued,
فَأْتِنَا
thus come to us
بِمَا
with what
تَعِدُنَآ
you promise us,
إِن
if
كُنتَ
you are
مِنَ
of
ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
the truthful.]
١١
٣٢
قَالُوا۟ يَٰنُوحُ قَدْ جَٰدَلْتَنَا فَأَكْثَرْتَ جِدَٰلَنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ They said, [O Nooh! Certainly you have argued with us so increasingly we have argued, thus come to us with what you promise us, if you are of the truthful.]
⦿
They said: O Noah! Thou hast disputed with us and multiplied disputation with us; now bring upon us that wherewith thou threatenest us, if thou art of the truthful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
They said, [O Noah, you have disputed with us already, and you have disputed with us exceedingly. Now bring us what you threaten us with, should you be truthful. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
They said, [Noah, you have argued with us a great deal. Bring down on us whatever torment with which you have been threatening us if what you say is true]. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
They said: O Nuh! indeed you have disputed with us and lengthened dispute with us, therefore bring to us what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful ones. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
[Noah,] they replied, [you have argued with us, and argued to excess. Now bring down upon us what you threaten us with, if you speak the truth!?] - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
ان لوگوں نے کہا کہ نوح آپ نے ہم سے جھگڑا کیا اور بہت جھگڑا کیا تو اب جس چیز کا وعدہ کررہے تھے اسے لے آؤ اگر تم اپنے دعوٰی میں سچے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

آخر کار ان لوگوں نے کہا کہ ——اے نوحؑ، تم نے ہم سے جھگڑا کیا اور بہت کر لیا اب تو بس وہ عذاب لے آؤ جس کی تم ہمیں دھمکی دیتے ہو اگر سچے ہو—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بولے اے نوح تم ہم سے جھگڑے اور بہت ہی جھگڑے تو لے ا ٓ ؤ جس کا ہمیں وعدے دے رہے ہو اگر تم سچے ہو، - Ahmed Raza

ان لوگوں نے کہا اے نوح! تم نے ہم سے بحث و تکرار کی ہے اور بہت کر لی (اس کا کوئی فائدہ نہیں ہے) اگر تم سچے ہو تو وہ (عذاب) ہمارے پاس لاؤ جس کی تم ہمیں دھمکی دیتے ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

قَالَ
(Nooh) said,
إِنَّمَا
[Indeed it is that
يَأْتِيكُم
brings to you
بِهِ
about it
ٱللَّهُ
the One
إِن
if
شَآءَ
(He) wills,
وَمَآ
and not
أَنتُم
you are (going to be)
بِمُعْجِزِينَ
with the ignored.]
(Nooh) said, [Indeed it is that brings to you about it the One if (He) wills, and not you are (going to be) with the ignored.]

He said: Only Allah will bring it upon you if He will, and ye can by no means escape. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
He said, [Allah will indeed bring it on you if He wishes, and you cannot frustrate [Him]. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Noah) replied, [God will bring torment down on you whenever He wants and you will not be able to make His (plans) fail. - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
He said: Allah only will bring it to you if He please, and you will not escape: - Shakir, Habib
⦿
He said, [It is God who will bring it down upon you, if He wishes, and you will not be able to escape. - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
نوح نے کہا کہ وہ تو خدا لے آئے گا اگر چاہے گا اور تم اسے عاجز بھی نہیں کرسکتے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan
⦿
نوحؑ نے جواب دیا ——وہ تو اللہ ہی لائے گا، اگر چاہے گا، اور تم اتنا بل بوتا نہیں رکھتے کہ اسے روک دو - Maududi, Abul A'ala
⦿
بولا وہ تو اللہ تم پر لائے گا اگر چاہے اور تم تھکا نہ سکو گے - Ahmed Raza
⦿
نوح(ع) نے کہا وہ (عذاب) تو اللہ ہی لائے گا جب چاہے گا اور تم اسے عاجز نہیں کر سکتے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

ٱللَّهُ
the One
يُرِيدُ
desired
أَن
that
يُغْوِيَكُمْ
you be left astray;
ۚ
هُوَ
He is
رَبُّكُمْ
your Rabb
وَإِلَيْهِ
and to Him
تُرْجَعُونَ
you will return.]
١١
٣٤
وَلَا يَنفَعُكُمْ نُصْحِىٓ إِنْ أَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَنصَحَ لَكُمْ إِن كَانَ ٱللَّهُ يُرِيدُ أَن يُغْوِيَكُمْ ۚ هُوَ رَبُّكُمْ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ [And not is useful to you my admonition if I intend that I give advice to you, if had the One desired that you be left astray; He is your Rabb and to Him you will return.]
⦿
My counsel will not profit you if I were minded to advise you, if Allah's will is to keep you astray. He is your Lord and unto Him ye will be brought back. - Pickthall, Marmaduke
⦿
My exhorting will not benefit you, much as I may seek to exhort you, if Allah desires to consign you to perversity. He is your Lord, and to Him you shall be brought back.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
My advice will be of no benefit to you if God wants to let you go astray. He is your Lord and to Him you will all return.] - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
And if I intend to give you good advice, my advice will not profit you if Allah intended that He should leave you to go astray; He is your Lord, and to Him shall you be returned. - Shakir, Habib
⦿
My advice will not benefit you, no matter how sincerely I want to advise you, if God lets you go astray. He is your Lord and you will all return to Him.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور میں تمہیں نصیحت بھی کرنا چاہوں تو میری نصیحت تمہارے کام نہیں آئے گی اگر خدا ہی تم کو گمراہی میں چھوڑ دینا چاہے -وہی تمہارا پروردگار ہے اور اسی کی طرف تم پلٹ کر جانے والے ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اب اگر میں تمہاری کچھ خیر خواہی کرنا بھی چاہوں تو میری خیر خواہی تمہیں کوئی فائدہ نہیں دے سکتی جبکہ اللہ ہی نے تمہیں بھٹکا دینے کا ارادہ کر لیا ہو، وہی تمہارا رب ہے اور اُسی کی طرف تمہیں پلٹنا ہے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور تمہیں میری نصیحت نفع نہ دے گی اگر میں تمہارا بھلا چاہوں جبکہ اللہ تمہاری گمراہی چاہے، وہ تمہارا رب ہے، اور اسی کی طرف پھرو گے - Ahmed Raza

اگر اللہ تمہیں گمراہی میں چھوڑ دینا چاہے (اور اس طرح تمہیں ہلاک کرنا چاہے تو) میں جس قدر تمہیں نصیحت کرنا چاہوں میری نصیحت تمہیں کوئی فائدہ نہیں پہنچا سکتی۔ وہی تمہارا پروردگار ہے اور اسی کی طرف تمہیں لوٹ کر جانا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

Or is it that
يَقُولُونَ
they say,
ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ
[He has invented it!]?
ۖ
قُلْ
Say,
إِنِ
[If
ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥ
I have invented it
فَعَلَىَّ
then upon me
إِجْرَامِى
are my crimes,
وَأَنَا۠
and I am
بَرِىٓءٌۭ
free
مِّمَّا
from what
تُجْرِمُونَ
crimes you commit.]

٣٥
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۖ قُلْ إِنِ ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥ فَعَلَىَّ إِجْرَامِى وَأَنَا۠ بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تُجْرِمُونَ Or is it that they say, [He has invented it!]? Say, [If I have invented it then upon me are my crimes, and I am free from what crimes you commit.]

Or say they (again): He hath invented it? Say: If I have invented it, upon me be my crimes, but I am innocent of (all) that ye commit. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Do they say, [He has fabricated it?] Say, [Should I have fabricated it, then my guilt will be upon me, and I am absolved of your guilty conduct.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Do they say that Muhammad has falsely ascribed (the Quran) to God? (Muhammad), tell them [Had I falsely ascribed it to God, I shall be responsible for my own sins. I am certainly not responsible for whatever sins you commit! - Sarwar, Muhammad

Or do they say: He has forged it? Say: If I have forged it, on me is my guilt, and I am clear of that of which you are guilty. - Shakir, Habib

If they say, [He has invented it himself,] say to them, [If I have indeed invented this myself, then may I be punished for my sin; I am innocent of the crimes that you commit.] - Wahiduddin Khan

And was revealed

نُوحٍ
Nooh,
أَنَّهُۥ
[Indeed it is that

never will
يُؤْمِنَ
be convinced
مِن
from
قَوْمِكَ
your nation,
إِلَّا
except
مَن
who
قَدْ
already has
ءَامَنَ
become certain,
فَلَا
thus
تَبْتَئِسْ
do not feel dejected
بِمَا
about what
كَانُوا۟
they have been
يَفْعَلُونَ
doing.]
١١
٣٦
وَأُوحِىَ إِلَىٰ نُوحٍ أَنَّهُۥ لَن يُؤْمِنَ مِن قَوْمِكَ إِلَّا مَن قَدْ ءَامَنَ فَلَا تَبْتَئِسْ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ And was revealed to Nooh, [Indeed it is that never will be convinced from your nation, except who already has become certain, thus do not feel dejected about what they have been doing.]

And it was inspired in Noah, (saying): No-one of thy folk will believe save him who hath believed already. Be not distressed because of what they do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It was revealed to Noah: [None of your people will believe except those who already have faith; so do not sorrow for what they used to do. - Qarai, Ali Quli

It was revealed to Noah that besides those who had already accepted his faith, no one from his people would ever believe him. He was told not to be disappointed about what his people had done, - Sarwar, Muhammad

And it was revealed to Nuh: That none of your people will believe except those who have already believed, therefore do not grieve at what they do: - Shakir, Habib

God's will was revealed to Noah, [No more of your people will believe in you than those who already believe; do not grieve, therefore, over what they have been doing. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور نوح کی طرف یہ وحی کی گئی کہ تمہاری قوم میں سے اب کوئی ایمان نہ لائے گا علاوہ ان کے جو ایمان لاچکے لہذا تم ان کے افعال سے رنجیدہ نہ ہو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نوحؑ پر وحی کی گئی کہ تمہاری قوم میں سے جو لوگ ایمان لا چکے بس وہ لا چکے، اب کوئی ماننے والا نہیں ہے ان کے کرتوتوں پر غم کھانا چھوڑو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور نوح کو وحی ہوئی تمہاری قوم سے مسلمان نہ ہوں گے مگر جتنے ایمان لاچکے تو غم نہ کھا اس پر جو وہ کرتے ہیں - Ahmed Raza

اور نوح(ع) کی طرف وحی کی گئی کہ ان لوگوں کے سوا جو ایمان لا چکے ہیں تمہاری قوم میں سے اور کوئی ایمان نہیں لائے گا۔ پس تم اس پر غمگین نہ ہو جو کچھ یہ لوگ کر رہے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَٱصْنَعِ
[So build
ٱلْفُلْكَ
the Ark
بِأَعْيُنِنَا
according to Our vision],
وَوَحْيِنَا
and We also revealed,
وَلَا
[And do not
تُخَٰطِبْنِى
talk to Me
فِى
in (matter of)
ٱلَّذِينَ
the ones who
ظَلَمُوٓا۟
are in darkness;
ۚ
إِنَّهُم
indeed they are
مُّغْرَقُونَ
to be drowned.]
١١
٣٧
وَٱصْنَعِ ٱلْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا وَلَا تُخَٰطِبْنِى فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۚ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ [So build the Ark according to Our vision], and We also revealed, [And do not talk to Me in (matter of) the ones who are in darkness; indeed they are to be drowned.]

Build the ship under Our eyes and by Our inspiration, and speak not unto Me on behalf of those who do wrong. Lo! they will be drowned. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Build the ark before Our eyes and by Our revelation, and do not plead with Me for those who are wrongdoers: they shall indeed be drowned.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

but to build the Ark under the supervision and guidance of his Lord. He was also told not to address any words to Him concerning the unjust for they were all to be drowned. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And make the ark before Our eyes and (according to) Our revelation, and do not speak to Me in respect of those who are unjust; surely they shall be drowned. - Shakir, Habib

Build the Ark under Our eyes and in accordance with Our revelation. Do not plead with Me concerning the evil-doers. They shall certainly be drowned.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہماری نگاہوں کے سامنے ہماری وحی کی نگرانی میں کشتی تیار کرو اور ظالموں کے بارے میں مجھ سے بات نہ کرو کہ یہ سب غرق ہوجانے والے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور ہماری نگرانی میں ہماری وحی کے مطابق ایک کشتی بنانی شروع کر دو اور دیکھو، جن لوگوں نے ظلم کیا ہے اُن کے حق میں مجھ سے کوئی سفارش نہ کرنا، یہ سارے کے سارے اب ڈوبنے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور کشتی بناؤ ہمارے سامنے اور ہمارے حکم سے اور ظالموں کے بارے میں مجھ سے بات نہ کرنا وہ ضرور ڈوبائے جائیں گے - Ahmed Raza

And he made
ٱلْفُلْكَ
the Ark,
وَكُلَّمَا
and every which
مَرَّ
time
عَلَيْهِ
came upto him
مَلَأٌۭ
religious clerics
مِّن
from
قَوْمِهِۦ
his nation,
سَخِرُوا۟
they made fun
مِنْهُ
of it.
ۚ
قَالَ
(Nooh) said,
إِن
[If
تَسْخَرُوا۟
you make fun
مِنَّا
of us,
فَإِنَّا
then it is that
نَسْخَرُ
we make fun
مِنكُمْ
of you
كَمَا
just how
تَسْخَرُونَ
you are making fun.]
١١
٣٨
وَيَصْنَعُ ٱلْفُلْكَ وَكُلَّمَا مَرَّ عَلَيْهِ مَلَأٌۭ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ سَخِرُوا۟ مِنْهُ ۚ قَالَ إِن تَسْخَرُوا۟ مِنَّا فَإِنَّا نَسْخَرُ مِنكُمْ كَمَا تَسْخَرُونَ And he made the Ark, and every which time came upto him religious clerics from his nation, they made fun of it. (Nooh) said, [If you make fun of us, then it is that we make fun of you just how you are making fun.]

And he was building the ship, and every time that chieftains of his people passed him, they made mock of him. He said: Though ye make mock of Us, yet We mock at you even as ye mock; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

As he was building the ark, whenever the elders of his people passed by him, they would ridicule him. He said, [If you ridicule us [today], we shall ridicule you [tomorrow] just as you ridicule us [now]. - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
(Noah) started to build the Ark but whenever some of his people passed by, they would mock him. He in return would reply, [Mock us, but just as you mock us, we, too, will mock you. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And he began to make the ark; and whenever the chiefs from among his people passed by him they laughed at him. He said: If you laugh at us, surely we too laugh at you as you laugh (at us). - Shakir, Habib

So he began to build the Ark, and whenever leaders of his people passed by, they scoffed at him. He said, [If you are scoffing at us, we shall scoff at you [and your ignorance], just as you scoff at us: - Wahiduddin Khan

اور نوح کشتی بنارہے تھے اور جب بھی قوم کی کسی جماعت کا گزر ہوتا تھا تو ان کا مذاق اڑاتے تھے -نوح نے کہا کہ اگر تم ہمارا مذاق اڑاؤ گے تو کل ہم اسی طرح تمہارا بھی مذاق اڑائیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

نوحؑ کشتی بنا رہا تھا اور اس کی قوم کے سرداروں میں سے جو کوئی اس کے پاس سے گزرتا تھا وہ اس کا مذاق اڑاتا تھا اس نے کہا ——اگر تم ہم پر ہنستے ہو تو ہم بھی تم پر ہنس رہے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور نوح کشتی بناتا ہے اور جب اس کی قوم کے سردار اس پر گزرتے اس پر ہنستے بولا اگر تم ہم پر ہنستے ہو تو ایک وقت ہم تم پر ہنسیں گے جیسا تم ہنستے ہو - Ahmed Raza

چنانچہ نوح(ع) کشتی بنانے لگے اور جب بھی ان کی قوم کے سردار ان کے پاس سے گزرتے تو وہ ان کا مذاق اڑاتے وہ (نوح) کہتے اگر (آج) تم ہمارا مذاق اڑاتے ہو تو (کل کلاں) ہم بھی تمہارا اسی طرح مذاق اڑائیں گے جس طرح تم اڑا رہے ہو۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

فَسَوْفَ
[Then it will be that
تَعْلَمُونَ
you will know
مَن
to whom
يَأْتِيهِ
comes
عَذَابٌۭ
a punishment
يُخْزِيهِ
disgracing him,
وَيَحِلُّ
and is let loose
عَلَيْهِ
upon him
عَذَابٌۭ
a pain that is
مُّقِيمٌ
lasting.]
[Then it will be that you will know to whom comes a punishment disgracing him, and is let loose upon him a pain that is lasting.]

And ye shall know to whom a punishment that will confound him cometh, and upon whom a lasting doom will fall. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Soon you will know whom a disgraceful punishment will overtake and on whom a lasting punishment will descend.] - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
You will soon learn who will face a humiliating punishment and will be encompassed by an everlasting torment.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

So shall you know who it is on whom will come a chastisement which will disgrace him, and on whom will lasting chastisement come down. - Shakir, Habib

you will soon come to know who will receive a humiliating punishment, and find unleashed against him an everlasting punishment.] - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر عنقریب تمہیں معلوم ہوجائے گا کہ جس کے پاس عذاب آتا ہے اسے رسوا کردیا جاتا ہے اور پھر وہ عذاب دائمی ہی ہوجاتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

عنقریب تمہیں خود معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ کس پر وہ عذاب آتا ہے جو اُسے رسوا کر دے گا اور کس پر وہ بلا ٹوٹ پڑتی ہے جو ٹالے نہ ٹلے گی—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو اب جان جاؤ گے کس پر آتا ہے وہ عذاب کہ اسے رسوا کرے اور اترتا ہے وہ عذاب جو ہمیشہ رہے - Ahmed Raza

عنقریب تمہیں معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ کس پر عذاب آتا ہے جو اسے رسوا کر دے گا اور کس پر دائمی عذاب نازل ہوتا ہے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
