وَمَا

And We defer it only to a term already reckoned.

On the day when it cometh no soul will speak except by His permission; some among them will be wretched, (others) glad.

As for those who will be wretched (on that day) they will be in the Fire; sighing and wailing will be their portion therein,

Abiding there so long as the heavens and the earth endure save for that which thy Lord willeth. Lo! thy Lord is Doer of what He will.

وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ سُعِدُوا۟ فَفِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا مَا دَامَتِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ رَبُّكَ ۖ عَطَآءً غَيْرَ مَجْذُوذٍۢ

⦿

And as for those who will be glad (that day) they will be in the Garden, abiding there so long as the heavens and the earth endure save for that which thy Lord willeth: a gift unfailing.

As for the felicitous, they will be in paradise. They will remain in it for as long as the heavens and the earth endure—except what your Lord may wish—an endless bounty.

The blessed ones will live in Paradise as long as the heavens and the earth exist, unless your Lord decides to grant endless rewards to whomever He wants.

رہے وہ لوگ جو نیک بخت نکلیں گے، تو وہ جنت میں جائیں گے اور وہاں ہمیشہ رہیں گے جب تک زمین و آسمان قائم ہیں، الا یہ کہ تیرا رب کچھ اور چاہے ایسی بخشش ان کو ملے گی جس کا سلسلہ کبھی منقطع نہ ہوگا

اور وہ جو خوش نصیب ہوئے وہ جنت میں ہیں ہمیشہ اس میں رہیں گے جب تک آسمان و زمین مگر جتنا تمہارے رب نے چاہا یہ بخشش ہے کبھی ختم نہ ہوگی،

فَلَا تَكُ فِى مِرْيَةٍۢ مِّمَّا يَعْبُدُ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ ۚ مَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُهُم مِّن قَبْلُ ۚ وَإِنَّا لَمُوَفُّوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ غَيْرَ مَنقُوصٍۢ

⦿

So be not thou in doubt concerning that which these (folk) worship. They worship only as their fathers worshipped aforetime. Lo! we shall pay them their whole due unabated.

⦿

So do not be in doubt about what these worship: they worship just as their fathers worshiped before, and We shall surely pay them their full share, undiminished.

⦿

Have no doubt that these people worship (idols). They worship what their fathers had worshipped before them. We will give them the exact recompense that they deserve.

Therefore be not in doubt as to what these worship; they do not worship but as their fathers worshipped before; and most surely We will pay them back in full their portion undiminished.

پس اے نبیؐ، تو ان معبودوں کی طرف سے کسی شک میں نہ رہ جن کی یہ لوگ عبادت کر رہے ہیں یہ تو (بس لکیر کے فقیر بنے ہوئے) اُسی طرح پوجا پاٹ کیے جا رہے ہیں جس طرح پہلے ان کے باپ دادا کرتے تھے، اور ہم اِن کا حصہ اِنہیں بھرپور دیں گے بغیر اس کے کہ اس میں کچھ کاٹ کسر ہو

تو اے سننے والے! دھوکا میں نہ پڑ اس سے جیسے یہ کافر پوجتے ہیں یہ ویسا ہی پوجتے ہیں جیسا پہلے ان کے باپ دادا پوجتے تھے اور بیشک ہم ان کا حصہ انہیں پورا پھیردیں گے جس میں کمی نہ ہوگی،

(اے رسول(ص)) جن کی یہ (مشرک لوگ) عبادت کرتے ہیں آپ ان کے (باطل پرست ہونے) میں کسی شک میں نہ رہیں یہ اسی طرح (کورکورانہ) عبادت کر رہے ہیں جس طرح ان سے پہلے ان کے باپ دادا کرتے تھے اور ہم ان کو ان (کے نتائجِ اعمال) کا پورا پورا حصہ دیں گے جس میں کوئی کمی نہیں کی جائے گی۔

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ فَٱخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌۭ سَبَقَتْ مِن رَّبِّكَ لَقُضِىَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِى شَكٍّۢ مِّنْهُ مُرِيبٍۢ

⦿

And we verily gave unto Moses the Scripture, and there was strife thereupon; and had it not been for a Word that had already gone forth from thy Lord, the case would have been judged between them, and lo! they are in grave doubt concerning it.

Certainly We gave Moses the Book, but differences arose about it, and were it not for a prior decree of your Lord, a decision would have been made between them; indeed they are in grave doubt concerning it.

We gave the Book to Moses but people had different views about it. Had the Word of your Lord not been already ordained, He would have settled their differences (there and then). They are still in doubt about this.

And certainly We gave the book to Musa, but it was gone against; and had not a word gone forth from your Lord, the matter would surely have been decided between them; and surely they are in a disquieting doubt about it.

ہم اس سے پہلے موسیٰؑ کو بھی کتاب دے چکے ہیں اور اس کے بارے میں بھی اختلاف کیا گیا تھا (جس طرح آج اِس کتاب کے بارے میں کیا جا رہا ہے جو تمہیں دی گئی ہے) اگر تیرے رب کی طرف سے ایک بات پہلے ہی طے نہ کر دی گئی ہوتی تو اِن اختلاف کرنے والوں کے درمیان کبھی کا فیصلہ چکا دیا گیا ہوتا یہ واقعہ ہے کہ یہ لوگ اس کی طرف سے شک اور خلجان میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں

اور بیشک ہم نے موسیٰ کو کتاب دی تو اس میں پھوٹ پڑگئی اگر تمہارے رب کی ایک بات پہلے نہ ہوچکی ہوتی تو جبھی ان کا فیصلہ کردیا جاتا اور بیشک وہ اس کی طرف سے دھوکا ڈالنے والے شک میں ہیں

اور بے شک ہم نے موسیٰ کو کتاب عطا کی تو اس میں اختلاف کیا گیا اور اگر آپ کے پروردگار کی طرف سے ایک بات پہلے سے طئے نہ کر دی گئی ہوتی (کہ سزا دینے میں جلدی نہیں کرنی) تو کبھی کا ان کے درمیان فیصلہ کر دیا جاتا اور وہ اس (عذاب) کے بارے میں تردد انگیز شک میں مبتلا ہیں۔

And lo! unto each thy Lord will verily repay his works in full. Lo! He is Informed of what they do.

Establish worship at the two ends of the day and in some watches of the night. Lo! good deeds annul ill-deeds. This is reminder for the mindful.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.
