فَلَمَّآ أَلْقَوْا۟ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ ٱلسِّحْرُ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓ ۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when they had cast, Moses said: That which ye have brought is magic. Lo! Allah will make it vain. Lo! Allah upholdeth not the work of mischief-makers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So when they threw down [their sticks and ropes], Moses said, [What you have produced is magic. Indeed Allah will bring it to naught presently. Indeed Allah does not foster the efforts of those who cause corruption. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When the magicians had thrown theirs, Moses said, [What you have performed is magic. God will certainly prove it to be false; He will not make the deeds of the corrupt people righteous. - Sarwar, Muhammad

So when they cast down, Musa said to them: What you have brought is deception; surely Allah will make it naught; surely Allah does not make the work of mischief-makers to thrive. - Shakir, Habib

And when they had done so, Moses said, [What you have wrought is mere sorcery. Surely, God will bring it to nothing. Truly, God does not support the work of mischief-makers; - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر جب ان لوگوں نے رسیوں کو ڈال دیا تو موسٰی نے کہا کہ جو کچھ تم لے آئے ہو یہ جادو ہے اور اللہ اس کو بیکار کردے گا وہ مفسدین کے عمل کو درست نہیں ہونے دیتا ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر جب انہوں نے اپنے آنچھر پھینک دیے تو موسیٰؑ نے کہا “یہ جو کچھ تم نے پھینکا ہے یہ جادو ہے، اللہ ابھی اِسے باطل کیے دیتا ہے، مفسدوں کے کام کو اللہ سدھرنے نہیں دیتا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر جب انہوں نے ڈالا موسیٰ نے کہا یہ جو تم لائے یہ جادو ہے اب اللہ اسے باطل کردے گا، اللہ مفسدوں کا کام نہیں بناتا، - Ahmed Raza

جب وہ (رسیاں وغیرہ) پھینک چکے۔ تو موسیٰ نے کہا جو کچھ تم لائے ہو یہ جادو ہے (نہ وہ جو میں لایا ہوں) یقینا اللہ اسے بھی ملیامیٹ کر دے گا کیونکہ قانونِ قدرت ہے کہ اللہ مفسدین کے کام کو بننے نہیں دیتا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

فَمَآ ءَامَنَ لِمُوسَىٰٓ إِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٌۭ مِّن قَوْمِهِۦ عَلَىٰ خَوْفٍۢ مِّن فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِمْ أَن يَفْتِنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَالٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

But none trusted Moses, save some scions of his people, (and they were) in fear of Pharaoh and their chiefs, that he would persecute them. Lo! Pharaoh was verily a tyrant in the land, and lo! he verily was of the wanton. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But none believed in Moses except some youths from among his people, for the fear of Pharaoh and his elite that he would persecute them. For Pharaoh was indeed a tyrant in the land, and indeed he was an unrestrained [despot]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

No one believed in Moses except some young people of his own tribe who were at the same time very afraid of the persecution of the Pharaoh and his people. The Pharaoh was certainly a tyrant and a transgressor. - Sarwar, Muhammad

But none believed in Musa except the offspring of his people, on account of the fear of Firon and their chiefs, lest he should persecute them; and most surely Firon was lofty in the land; and most surely he was of the extravagant. - Shakir, Habib

But none save a few youths declared their faith in Moses, [while others held back] for fear that Pharaoh and his nobles would persecute them. Pharaoh was high and mighty in the land. And one who transgressed all bounds. - Wahiduddin Khan

پھر بھی موسٰی پر ایمان نہ لائے مگر ان کی قوم کی ایک نسل اور وہ بھی فرعون اور اس کی جماعت کے خوف کے ساتھ کہ کہیں وہ کسی آزمائش میں نہ مبتلا کردے کہ فرعون بہت اونچا ہے اور وہ اسراف اور زیادتی کرنے والا بھی ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

(پھر دیکھو کہ) موسیٰؑ کو اس کی قوم میں سے چند نوجوانوں کے سوا کسی نے نہ مانا، فرعون کے ڈر سے اور خود اپنی قوم کے سر بر آوردہ لوگوں کے ڈر سے (جنہیں خوف تھا کہ) فرعون ان کو عذاب میں مبتلا کرے گا اور واقعہ یہ ہے کہ فرعون زمین میں غلبہ رکھتا تھا اور وہ اُن لوگوں میں سے تھا جو کسی حد پر رکتے نہیں ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو موسیٰ پر ایمان نہ لائے مگر اس کی قوم کی اولاد سے کچھ لوگ فرعون اور اس کے درباریوں سے ڈرتے ہوئے کہ کہیں انہیں ہٹنے پر مجبور نہ کردیں اور بیشک فرعون زمین پر سر اٹھانے والا تھا، اور بیشک وہ حد سے گزر گیا - Ahmed Raza

پس موسیٰ پر ان کی قوم کے چند نوجوانوں کے ایک گروہ کے سوا اور کوئی ایمان نہیں لایا اور وہ (ایمان لانے والے) بھی فرعون اور اپنی قوم کے سرداروں سے ڈرتے ہوئے ایمان لائے۔ کہ کہیں وہ انہیں آزمائش (اور مصیبت) میں نہ ڈال دے اور بے شک فرعون بڑا سرکش (بادشاہ) تھا اور حد سے بڑھ جانے والوں میں سے تھا۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And Moses said: O my people! If ye have believed in Allah then put trust in Him, if ye have indeed surrendered (unto Him)! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

And Moses said, [O my people! If you have faith in Allah, put your trust in Him, if you have submitted [to Him].] - Qarai, Ali Quli

Moses told his people, [If you have submitted yourselves to God and have faith in Him, put your trust in Him]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And Musa said: O my people! if you believe in Allah, then rely on Him (alone) if you submit (to Allah). - Shakir, Habib

فَقَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةًۭ لِّلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]
⦿
They said: In Allah we put trust. Our Lord! Oh, make us not a lure for the wrongdoing folk; - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Whereat they said, [In Allah we have put our trust.] [Our Lord! Do not make us a [means of] test for the wrongdoing lot, - Qarai, Ali Quli
⦿
They said, [In God do we trust. Lord, do not subject us to the persecution of the unjust ones, - Sarwar, Muhammad
⦿
So they said: On Allah we rely: O our Lord! make us not subject to the persecution of the unjust people: - Shakir, Habib
⦿
They said, [In God we put our trust. Our Lord, make us not a trial [the subject of persecution] for the oppressors. - Wahiduddin Khan
⦿
تو ان لوگوں نے کہا کہ بیشک ہم نے خدا پر بھروسہ کیا ہے. خدایا ہمیں ظالموں کے فتنوں اور آزمائشوں کا مرکز نہ قرار دینا - Jawadi, Zeeshan

انہوں نے جواب دیا “ہم نے اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کیا، اے ہمارے رب، ہمیں ظالم لوگوں کے لیے فتنہ نہ بنا - Maududi, Abul A'ala

بولے ہم نے اللہ پر بھروسہ کیا الہٰی ہم کو ظالم لوگوں کے لیے آزمائش نہ بنا - Ahmed Raza

انہوں نے (جواب میں) کہا ہم اللہ ہی پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں (اور دعا کرتے ہیں) اے ہمارے پروردگار ہمیں ظالم لوگوں کیلئے آزمائش کا موجب نہ بنا (ان کے ظلم کا تختہ مشق نہ بنا)۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَأَخِيهِ أَن تَبَوَّءَا لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوتًۭا وَٱجْعَلُوا۟ بُيُوتَكُمْ قِبْلَةًۭ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And We inspired Moses and his brother, (saying): Appoint houses for your people in Egypt and make your houses oratories, and establish worship. And give good news to the believers. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We revealed to Moses and his brother [saying], [Settle your people in the city, and let your houses face each other, and maintain the prayer, and give good news to the faithful.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

We sent a revelation to Moses and his brother to build houses for their people in the Pharaoh's town and to build them facing one another. (We told him) that therein they should pray and that Moses should give the glad news (of God's mercy) to the faithful ones. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And We revealed to Musa and his brother, saying: Take for your people houses to abide in Egypt and make your houses places of worship and keep up prayer and give good news to the believers. - Shakir, Habib

We revealed [Our will] to Moses and his brother, saying, [Set aside for your people some houses in the city and turn them into places of worship, and be constant in prayer! And give [O Moses] the good news to the believers.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور ہم نے موسٰی اور ان کے بھائی کی طرف وحی کی کہ اپنی قوم کے لئے مصر میں گھر بناؤ اور اپنے گھروں کو قبلہ قرار دو اور نماز قائم کرو اور مومنین کو بشار ت دے دو - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور ہم نے موسیٰؑ اور اس کے بھائی کو اشارہ کیا کہ “مصر میں چند مکان اپنی قوم کے لیے مہیا کرو اور اپنے ان مکانوں کو قبلہ ٹھیرا لو اور نماز قائم کرو اور اہل ایمان کو بشارت دے دو—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم نے موسیٰ اور اس کے بھائی کو وحی بھیجی کہ مصر میں اپنی قوم کے لیے مکانات بناؤ اور اپنے گھروں کو نماز کی جگہ کرو اور نماز قائم رکھو، اور مسلمانوں کو خوشخبری سناؤ - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے موسیٰ اور ان کے بھائی (ہارون) کی طرف وحی کی کہ مصر میں اپنی قوم کے لئے چند گھر مہیا کرو (بناؤ) اور اپنے گھروں کو قبلہ رخ بنائیں (یا اپنے گھروں کو ہی قبلہ بنائیں) اور نماز قائم کریں اور (اے موسیٰ اہلِ ایمان کو) کامیابی کی بشات دیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And Moses said: Our Lord! Lo! Thou hast given Pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and riches in the life of the world, Our Lord! that they may lead men astray from Thy way. Our Lord! Destroy their riches and harden their hearts so that they believe not till they see the painful doom. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

اور موسٰی نے کہا کہ پروردگار تو نے فرعون اور اس کے ساتھیوں کو زندگانی دنیامیں اموال عطا کئے ہیں -خدایا یہ تیرے راستے سے بہکائیں گے -خدایا ان کے اموال کو برباد کردے -ان کے دلوں پر سختی نازل فرما یہ اس وقت تک ایمان نہ لائیں گے جب تک اپنی آنکھوں سے دردناک عذاب نہ دیکھ لیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

موسیٰؑ نے دعا کی “اے ہمارے رب، تو نے فرعون اور اس کے سرداروں کو دنیا کی زندگی میں زینت اور اموال سے نواز رکھا ہے اے رب، کیا یہ اس لیے ہے کہ وہ لوگوں کو تیری راہ سے بھٹکائیں؟ اے رب، ان کے مال غارت کر دے اور ان کے دلوں پر ایسی مہر کر دے کہ ایمان نہ لائیں جب تک دردناک عذاب نہ دیکھ لیں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور موسیٰ نے عرض کی اے رب ہمارے تو نے فرعون اور اس کے سرداروں کو آرائش اور مال دنیا کی زندگی میں دیے، اے رب ہمارے! اس لیے کہ تیری راہ سے بہکادیں، اے رب ہمارے! ان کے مال برباد کردے اور ان کے دل سخت کردے کہ ایمان نہ لائیں جب تک دردناک عذاب نہ دیکھ لیں - Ahmed Raza

اور موسیٰ نے (دعا مانگتے ہوئے) کہا اے ہمارے پروردگار تو نے فرعون اور اس کے سرداروں کو دنیاوی زندگی میں زیب و زینت (کی چیزوں) اور بہت سے مال و دولت سے نوازا ہے۔ اے پروردگار! اس کا نتیجہ اور انجام یہ ہے کہ وہ (تیرے بندوں کو) تیرے راستہ سے بہکاتے ہیں۔ اے ہمارے مالک، ان کے مالوں کو نابود کر دے اور ان کے دلوں کو سخت کر دے تاکہ جب تک دردناک عذاب نہ دیکھ لیں ایمان نہ لائیں (اور اس وقت ایمان کا لانا سودمند نہ ہوگا)۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh with his hosts pursued them in rebellion and transgression, till, when the (fate of) drowning overtook him, he exclaimed: I believe that there is no Allah save Him in Whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of those who surrender (unto Him). - Pickthall, Marmaduke

We carried the Children of Israel across the sea, whereat Pharaoh and his troops pursued them, out of defiance and aggression. When overtaken by drowning, he called out, [I believe that there is no god except Him in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am one of those who submit [to Him]!] - Qarai, Ali Quli

We helped the children of Israel cross the sea safely. The Pharaoh and his army pursued the children of Israel with wickedness and hate until the Pharaoh was drowned. اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو دریا پار کرادیا تو فرعون اور اس کے لشکر نے ازراہ هظلم و تعدی ان کا پیچھا کیا یہاں تک کہ جب غرقابی نے اسے پکڑلیا تو اس نے آواز دی کہ میں اس خدائے وحدہ لاشریک پر ایمان لے آیا ہوں جس پر بنی اسرائیل ایمان لائے ہیں اور میں اطاعت گزاروں میں ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور ہم بنی اسرائیل کو سمندر سے گزار لے گئے پھر فرعون اور اس کے لشکر ظلم اور زیادتی کی غرض سے ان کے پیچھے چلے حتیٰ کہ جب فرعون ڈوبنے لگا تو بول اٹھا ——میں نے مان لیا کہ خداوند حقیقی اُس کے سوا کوئی نہیں ہے جس پر بنی اسرائیل ایمان لائے، اور میں بھی سر اطاعت جھکا دینے والوں میں سے ہوں—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور ہم بنی اسرائیل کو دریا پار لے گئے تو فرعون اور اس کے لشکروں نے ان کا پیچھا کیا سرکشی اور ظلم سے یہاں تک کہ جب اسے ڈوبنے نے ا ٓ لیا بولا میں ایمان لایا کہ کوئی سچا معبود نہیں سوا اس کے جس پر بنی اسرائیل ایمان لائے اور میں مسلمان ہوں - Ahmed Raza

اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو دریا سے پار اتار دیا پھر فرعون اور اس کے لشکر نے سرکشی اور ظلم و تعدی سے ان کا پیچھا کیا یہاں تک کہ جب وہ (فرعون) (دریا میں) غرق ہونے لگا تو کہنے لگا کہ میں ایمان لاتا ہوں (مانتا ہوں) کہ اس ہستی کے سوا کوئی الٰہ نہیں ہے جس پر بنی اسرائیل ایمان لائے ہیں اور میں مسلمانوں (فرمانبرداروں) میں سے ہوں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad
