فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَمَا سَأَلْتُكُم مِّنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

But if ye are averse I have asked of you no wage. My wage is the concern of Allah only, and I am commanded to be of those who surrender (unto Him).

If you turn your back [on me], I do not ask any reward from you; my reward lies only with Allah and I have been commanded to be of those who submit [to Allah].]

If you turn away from my preaching, it will not harm me; I shall receive my reward from God who has commanded me to become a Muslim.]

تم نے میری نصیحت سے منہ موڑا (تو میرا کیا نقصان کیا) میں تم سے کسی اجر کا طلب گار نہ تھا، میرا اجر تو اللہ کے ذمہ ہے اور مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ (خواہ کوئی مانے یا نہ مانے) میں خود مسلم بن کر رہوں——

پھر اگر تم منہ پھیرو تو میں تم سے کچھ اجرت نہیں مانگتا میرا اجر تو نہیں مگر اللہ پر اور مجھے حکم ہے کہ میں مسلمانوں سے ہوں،

اب اگر (اس کے باوجود) تم روگردانی کرتے ہو (تو تمہارا ہی نقصان ہے میرا کیا نقصان ہے) میں نے تم سے کوئی اجر تو نہیں مانگا۔ میرا اجر تو اللہ کے ذمے ہے مجھے تو حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں اس کے فرمانبردار بندوں سے ہو کر رہوں۔

بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا

كَانَ

عَٰقِبَةُ

ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

٧٣

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ وَأَغْرَقْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا ۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

But they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship, and made them viceroys (in the earth), while We drowned those who denied Our revelations. See then the nature of the consequence for those who had been warned.

But they impugned him. So We delivered him and those who were with him in the ark and We made them the successors, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. So observe how was the fate of those who were warned!

They rejected Noah. Then We saved him and his people in the Ark to make them the successors of the rest. The others, who had called Our revelations lies, were drowned. Consider the fate of those who (rejected) Our warnings!

But they rejected him, so We delivered him and those with him in the ark, and We made them rulers and drowned those who rejected Our communications; see then what was the end of the (people) warned.

پھر قوم نے ان کی تکذیب کی تو ہم نے نوح علیھ السّلام اور ان کے ساتھیوں کو کشتی میں نجات دے دی اور انہیں زمین کا وارث بنادیا اور اپنی آیات کی تکذیب کرنے والوں کو ڈبو دیا تو اب دیکھئے کہ جن کو ڈرایا جاتا ہے ان کے نہ ماننے کا انجام کیا ہوتا ہے

انہوں نے اسے جھٹلایا اور نتیجہ یہ ہوا کہ ہم نے اسے اور اُن لوگوں کو جو اس کے ساتھ کشتی میں تھے، بچا لیا اور انہی کو زمین میں جانشین بنایا اور ان سب لوگوں کو غرق کر دیا جنہوں نے ہماری آیات کو جھٹلایا تھا پس دیکھ لو کہ جنہیں متنبہ کیا گیا تھا (اور پھر بھی انہوں نے مان کر نہ دیا) اُن کا کیا انجام ہوا

تو انہوں نے اسے جھٹلایا تو ہم نے اسے اور جو اس کے ساتھ کشتی میں تھے ان کو نجات دی اور انہیں ہم نے نائب کیا اور جنہوں نے ہماری آیتیں جھٹلائیں ان کو ہم نے ڈبو دیا تو دیکھو ڈرائے ہوؤں کا انجام کیسا ہوا،

(بایں ہمہ) ان لوگوں نے انہیں جھٹلایا پس ہم نے انہیں اور جو کشتی میں ان کے ساتھ سوار تھے نجات دی اور انہیں (غرق ہونے والوں کا) جانشین بنایا اور جنہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا تھا ان سب کو غرق کر دیا تو دیکھو جن کو متنبہ کیا گیا تھا اور ڈرایا گیا تھا (مگر وہ نہ مانے) ان کا کیا انجام ہوا؟

٧٤

ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِمَا كَذَّبُوا۟ بِهِۦ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

Then, after him, We sent messengers unto their folk, and they brought them clear proofs. But they were not ready to believe in that which they before denied. Thus print We on the hearts of the transgressors.

Then after him We sent [other] apostles to their people. They brought them manifest proofs, but they would not believe something they had denied before. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors.

After (Noah) We sent other Messengers to their people with clear authoritative evidence proving their prophetic claims). But how could the people believe what they had previously called lies? Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors.

Then did We raise up after him apostles to their people, so they came to them with clear arguments, but they would not believe in what they had rejected before; thus it is that We set seals upon the hearts of those who exceed the limits.

اس کے بعد ہم نے مختلف رسول ان کی قوموں کی طرف بھیجے اور وہ ان کے پاس کھلی ہوئی نشانیاں لے کر آئے لیکن وہ لوگ پہلے کے انکار کرنے کی بنا پر ان کی تصدیق نہ کرسکے اور ہم اسی طرح ظالموں کے دل پر مہر لگادیتے ہیں

پھر نوحؑ کے بعد ہم نے مختلف پیغمبروں کو اُن کی قوموں کی طرف بھیجا اور وہ اُن کے پاس کھلی کھلی نشانیاں لے کر آئے، مگر جس چیز کو انہوں نے پہلے جھٹلا دیا تھا اسے پھر مان کر نہ دیا اس طرح ہم حد سے گزر جانے والوں کے دلوں پر ٹھپہ لگا دیتے ہیں

پھر اس کے بعد اور رسول ہم نے ان کی قوموں کی طرف بھیجے تو وہ ان کے پاس روشن دلیلیں لائے تو وہ ایسے نہ تھے کہ ایمان لاتے اس پر جسے پہلے جھٹلا چکے تھے، ہم یونہی مہر لگادیتے ہیں سرکشوں کے دلوں پر،

پھر ہم نے ان (نوح(ع)) کے بعد متعدد رسولوں کو ان کی قوموں کی طرف بھیجا اور وہ ان کے پاس کھلی کھلی نشانیاں (معجزے) لے کر آئے اس پر بھی وہ تیار نہ تھے کہ جس چیز کو وہ پہلے جھٹلا چکے ہیں (اب معجزے دیکھ کر) اس پر ایمان لائیں۔ ہم یونہی ظلم و تعدی کرنے والوں کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دیتے ہیں۔

ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۭا مُّجْرِمِينَ

Then, after them, We sent Moses and Aaron unto Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our revelations, but they were arrogant and were a guilty folk.

Then, after them, We sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his elite with Our signs, but they acted arrogantly and they were a guilty lot.

Then We sent Moses and Aaron with Our miracles to the Pharaoh and his people. These people also proved to be arrogant. They were wicked people.

And when the Truth from Our presence came unto them, they said: Lo! this is mere magic.

قَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَتَقُولُونَ لِلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَكُمْ ۖ أَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَا وَلَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلسَّٰحِرُونَ

Moses said: Speak ye (so) of the Truth when it hath come unto you? Is this magic? Now magicians thrive not.

Moses said, [Do you say of the truth when it comes to you [that it is magic]? Is this magic? Magicians do not find salvation.]

Musa said: Do you say (this) of the truth when it has come to you? Is it magic? And the magicians are not successful.

Moses replied, [Do you speak thus of the truth after it has been brought to you? Can this be sorcery? Sorcerers never prosper.]

موسٰی نے جواب دیا کہ تم لوگ حق کے آنے کے بعد اسے جادو کہہ رہے ہو کیا یہ تمہارے نزدیک جادو ہے جب کہ جادوگر کبھی کامیاب نہیں ہوتے

موسیٰؑ نے کہا: “تم حق کو یہ کہتے ہو جبکہ وہ تمہارے سامنے آگیا؟ کیا یہ جادو ہے؟ حالانکہ جادو گر فلاح نہیں پایا کرتے——

موسیٰ نے کہا کیا حق کی نسبت ایسا کہتے ہو جب وہ تمہارے پاس آیا کیا یہ جادو ہے اور جادوگر مراد کو نہیں پہنچتے،

موسیٰ (ع) نے کہا کیا تم حق کے بارے میں ایسی بات کہتے ہو جبکہ وہ تمہارے پاس آیا؟ کیا یہ جادو ہے؟ حالانکہ جادوگر کبھی فلاح و کامیابی نہیں پا سکتے۔

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَلْفِتَنَا عَمَّا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَا وَتَكُونَ لَكُمَا ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكُمَا بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

They said: Hast thou come unto us to pervert us from that (faith) in which we found our fathers, and that you two may own the place of greatness in the land? We will not believe you two.

They said, [Have you come to us to turn us away from what we found our fathers following, so that supremacy may be yours in the land? We will not believe in the two of you.]

They asked Moses, [Have you come to turn us away from the faith of our fathers and to make yourselves the rulers in the land? We shall never accept your faith.]

They said: Have you come to us to turn us away from what we found our fathers upon, and (that) greatness in the land should be for you two? And we are not going to believe in you.

They said, [Have you come to turn us away from what we found our forefathers following, so that the two of you might become supreme in this land? We will never believe in you.]

ان لوگوں نے کہا تم یہ پیغام اس لئے لائے ہو کہ ہمیں باپ دادا کے راستہ سے منحرف کردو اور تم دونوں کو زمین میں حکومت و اقتدار مل جائے اور ہم ہرگز تمہاری بات مانتے والے نہیں ہیں

اُنہوں نے جواب میں کہا “کیا تواس لیے آیا ہے کہ ہمیں اُ س طریقے سے پھیر دے جس پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا ہے اور زمین میں بڑائی تم دونوں کی قائم ہو جائے؟ تمہارے بات تو ہم ماننے والے نہیں ہیں——

بولے کیا تم ہمارے پاس اس لیے آئے ہو کہ ہمیں اس سے پھیردو جس پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا اور زمین میں تمہیں دونوں کی بڑائی رہے، اور ہم تم پر ایمان لانے کے نہیں،

And when the wizards came, Moses said unto them: Cast your cast!

And when they had cast, Moses said: That which ye have brought is magic. Lo! Allah will make it vain. Lo! Allah upholdeth not the work of mischief-makers.

So when they threw down [their sticks and ropes], Moses said, [What you have produced is magic. Indeed Allah will bring it to naught presently. Indeed Allah does not foster the efforts of those who cause corruption.

When the magicians had thrown theirs, Moses said, [What you have performed is magic. God will certainly prove it to be false; He will not make the deeds of the corrupt people righteous.

So when they cast down, Musa said to them: What you have brought is deception; surely Allah will make it naught; surely Allah does not make the work of mischief-makers to thrive.

And when they had done so, Moses said, [What you have wrought is mere sorcery. Surely, God will bring it to nothing. Truly, God does not support the work of mischief-makers;

پھر جب انہوں نے اپنے آنچھر پھینک دیے تو موسیٰؑ نے کہا “یہ جو کچھ تم نے پھینکا ہے یہ جادو ہے، اللہ ابھی اِسے باطل کیے دیتا ہے، مفسدوں کے کام کو اللہ سدھرنے نہیں دیتا

پھر جب انہوں نے ڈالا موسیٰ نے کہا یہ جو تم لائے یہ جادو ہے اب اللہ اسے باطل کردے گا، اللہ مفسدوں کا کام نہیں بناتا،

And Allah will vindicate the Truth by His words, however much the guilty be averse.

This website is a work of passion. It exists only for a couple of reasons:

1) I wanted to understand the Book without involving any second-party sources of guidance i.e. exegesis, or Asbab-e-Nuzul, or extra-Quranic ahadith, etc.
2) You must also know what the bare truth is, so we can work together.

Because the process must be transparent, the entire website is available for you to download. You can go through the code, and if you can make any improvements to this process, you are most welcome to. It is a humble request to update me regarding the improvements so I can also update myself.
