فَمَنْ
Thus who
أَظْلَمُ
does more injustice
مِمَّنِ
than who
ٱفْتَرَىٰ
invented
عَلَى
upon
ٱللَّهِ
the One
كَذِبًا
a lie
أَوْ
or
كَذَّبَ
lied
بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓ
about His signs?
ۚ
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed He
لَا
not
يُفْلِحُ
gives success to
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
the criminals.
١٠
١٧
فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ Thus who does more injustice than who invented upon the One a lie or lied about His signs? Indeed He not gives success to the criminals.

Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah and denieth His revelations? Lo! the guilty never are successful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

So who is a greater wrongdoer than him who fabricates a lie against Allah, or denies His signs? Indeed the guilty will not be felicitous. - Qarai, Ali Quli

Who is more unjust than one who invents falsehood against God or calls His revelations lies? The criminals will certainly have no happiness. - Sarwar, Muhammad

Who is then more unjust than who forges a lie against Allah or (who) gives the lie to His communications? Surely the guilty shall not be successful. - Shakir, Habib

اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہے جو اللہ پر جھوٹا الزام لگائے یا اس کی آیتوں کی تکذیب کرے جب کہ وہ مجرمین کو نجات دینے والا نہیں ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

پھر اُس سے بڑھ کر ظالم اور کون ہو گا جو ایک جھوٹی بات گھڑ کر اللہ کی طرف منسُوب کرے یا اللہ کی واقعی آیات کو جھُوٹا قرار دے یقیناً مجرم کبھی فلاح نہیں پا سکتے —— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

تو اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے یا اس کی آیتیں جھٹلائے، بیشک مجرموں کا بھلا نہ ہوگا، - Ahmed Raza

And they are slaves of
مِن

that which is beneath
ٱللَّهِ
the One

يَضُرُّهُمْ
harms them
وَلَا
and not
يَنفَعُهُمْ
benefits them,
وَيَقُولُونَ
and they assert,
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
[These are the ones who
شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا
mediate for us
عِندَ
in front of
ٱللَّهِ
the One.]
ۚ
قُلْ
Say,
أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ
[Are you informing
ٱللَّهَ
the One
بِمَا
with that which
لَا
not
يَعْلَمُ
He knows
فِى
in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَلَا
and not (He knows)
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land?]
ۚ
سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ
Glory be to Him,
وَتَعَٰلَىٰ
and superior is
عَمَّا
above what
يُشْرِكُونَ
they attribute (to Him).
١٠
١٨
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ شُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّـُٔونَ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ And they are slaves of from that which is beneath the One what not harms them and not benefits them, and they assert, [These are the ones who mediate for us in front of the One.] Say, [Are you informing the One with that which not He knows in the heavens and not (He knows) in the land?] Glory be to Him, and superior is above what they attribute (to Him).

They worship beside Allah that which neither hurteth them nor profiteth them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Would ye inform Allah of (something) that He knoweth not in the heavens or in the earth? Praised be He and High Exalted above all that ye associate (with Him)! - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They worship besides Allah that which neither causes them any harm, nor brings them any benefit, and they say, [These are our intercessors with Allah.] Say, [Will you inform Allah about something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?] Immaculate is He and exalted above [having] any partners that they ascribe [to Him]! - Qarai, Ali Quli

(Some people) worship things other than God which harm nor benefit them. They say, [These (idols) are our intercessors before God.] (Muhammad), tell them, [Are you trying to tell God about something that He does not find in the heavens or earth? God is too Glorious to be considered equal to idols.] - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they serve beside Allah what can neither harm them nor profit them, and they say: These are our intercessors with Allah. Say: Do you (presume to) inform Allah of what He knows not in the heavens and the earth? Glory be to Him, and supremely exalted is He above what they set up (with Him). - Shakir, Habib

Instead of God they worship what neither harms nor benefits them, and they say: [These are our intercessors with God.] Say, [Do you inform God about something in heavens and on earth that He does not know? Glory be to Him; may He be Exalted over whatever they associate [with Him]!] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور یہ لوگ خدا کو چھوڑ کر ان کی پرستش کرتے ہیں جو نہ نقصان پہنچاسکتے ہیں اور نہ فائدہ اور یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ خدا کے یہاں ہماری سفارش کرنے والے ہیں تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم تو خدا کو اس بات کو اطلاع کررہے ہو جس کا علم اسے آسمان و زمین میں کہیں نہیں ہے وہ پاک و پاکیزہ ہے اور ان کے شرک سے بلند و برتر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

یہ لوگ اللہ کے سوا اُن کی پرستش کر رہے ہیں جو ان کو نہ نقصان پہنچا سکتے ہیں نہ نفع، اور کہتے یہ ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے ہاں ہمارے سفارشی ہیں اے محمدؐ، ان سے کہو “کیا تم اللہ کو اُس بات کی خبر دیتے ہو جسے وہ نہ آسمانوں میں جانتا ہے نہ زمین میں؟—— پاک ہے وہ اور بالا و برتر ہے اُس شرک سے جو یہ لوگ کرتے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور اللہ کے سوا ایسی چیز کو پوجتے ہیں جو ان کا کچھ بھلا نہ کرے اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے یہاں ہمارے سفارشی ہیں تم فرماؤ کیا اللہ کو وہ بات بتاتے ہو جو اس کے علم میں نہ آسمانوں میں ہے نہ زمین میں اسے پاکی اور برتری ہے ان کے شرک سے، - Ahmed Raza

یہ لوگ اللہ کو چھوڑ کر ایسی چیزوں کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو نہ انہیں نقصان پہنچا سکتی ہیں اور نہ فائدہ اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے ہاں ہمارے سفارشی ہیں (اے رسول(ص)) تم کہو۔ کیا تم اللہ کو اس چیز کی اطلاع دیتے ہو جو خود اسے نہ آسمانوں میں معلوم ہے اور نہ زمین میں۔ پاک ہے اس کی ذات اور بلند و بالا ہے اس شرک سے جو یہ لوگ کر رہے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

And they will say: If only a portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Then say, (O Muhammad): The Unseen belongeth to Allah. So wait! Lo! I am waiting with you. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

They say, [Why has not some sign been sent down to him from his Lord?] Say, [[The knowledge of] the Unseen belongs only to Allah. So wait. I too am waiting along with you.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

They (unbelievers) say, [Why has his Lord not given him some miracles to (support his claim of being His Messenger)?] Say [(The knowledge) of the unseen certainly belongs to God. Wait and I too shall be waiting with you. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And they say: Why is not a sign sent to him from his Lord? Say: The unseen is only for Allah; therefore wait-- surely I too, with you am of those who wait. - Shakir, Habib

They ask, [Why has no sign been sent down to him from his Lord?] Tell them, [God alone has knowledge of the unseen. So wait; I too will wait with you.] - Wahiduddin Khan

یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ خدا کی طرف سے ان پر کوئی نشانی کیوں نہیں نازل ہوتی تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تمام غیب کا اختیار پروردگار کو ہے اور تم انتظار کرو اور میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ انتظار کرنے والوں میں ہوں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور یہ جو وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اِس نبیؐ پر اس کے رب کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی کیوں نہ اتاری گئی، تو ان سے کہو “غیب کا مالک و مختار تو اللہ ہی ہے، اچھا، انتظار کرو، میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ انتظار کرتا ہوں —— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وَإِذَآ أَذَقْنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنۢ بَعْدِ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُمْ إِذَا لَهُم مَّكْرٌۭ فِىٓ ءَايَاتِنَا ۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ أَسْرَعُ مَكْرًا ۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكْتُبُونَ مَا تَمْكُرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy after some adversity which had afflicted them, behold! they have some plot against Our revelations. Say: Allah is more swift in plotting. Lo! Our messengers write down that which ye plot. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

When We let people taste [Our] mercy after a distress that has befallen them, behold, they scheme against Our signs! Say, [Allah is more swift at devising.] Indeed Our messengers write down what you scheme. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When people are granted mercy after having suffered hardship, they begin to plot against Our revelations. Say, [God is the most swift in His plans.] Our angelic messengers record all that you plot. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And when We make people taste of mercy after an affliction touches them, lo! they devise plans against Our communication. Say: Allah is quicker to plan; surely Our apostles write down what you plan. - Shakir, Habib

Whenever We let mankind taste mercy after some adversity has afflicted them, they forthwith turn to devising false arguments against Our signs. Say, [God is swifter in His devising! Our angels are recording your intrigues.] - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جب تکلیف پہنچنے کے بعد ہم نے لوگوں کو ذرا رحمت کا مزہ چکھادیا تو فورا ہماری آیتوں میں مّکاری کرنے لگے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ خدا تم سے تیز تر تدبیریں کرنے والا ہے اور ہمارے نمائندے تمہارے مکر کو برابر لکھ رہے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

لوگوں کا حال یہ ہے کہ مصیبت کے بعد جب ہم ان کو رحمت کا مزا چکھاتے ہیں تو فوراً ہی وہ ہماری نشانیوں کے معاملہ میں چال بازیاں شروع کر دیتے ہیں ان سے کہو “اللہ اپنی چال میں تم سے زیادہ تیز ہے، اس کے فرشتے تمہاری سب مکّاریوں کو قلم بند کر رہے ہیں —— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جب کہ ہمارے آدمیوں کو رحمت کا مزہ دیتے ہیں کسی تکلیف کے بعد جو انہیں پہنچی تھی جبھی وہ ہماری آیتوں کے ساتھ داؤں چلتے ہیں تم فرمادو اللہ کی خفیہ تدبیر سب سے جلد ہوجاتی ہے بیشک ہمارے فرشتے تمہارے مکر لکھ رہے ہیں - Ahmed Raza

اور جب ہم لوگوں کو تکلیف اور دکھ درد کے بعد (اپنی) رحمت کا مزہ چکھاتے ہیں تو وہ فوراً ہماری آیتوں میں چال بازی و حیلہ سازی کرنے لگتے ہیں۔ کہہ دیجیئے کہ اللہ تدبیر و ترکیب میں (تم سے) زیادہ تیز ہے بے شک ہمارے فرستادہ (فرشتے) تمہاری سب چالبازیاں اور مکاریاں برابر لکھتے جا رہے ہیں۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

He it is Who maketh you to go on the land and the sea till, when ye are in the ships and they sail with them with a fair breeze and they are glad therein, a storm-wind reacheth them and the wave cometh unto them from every side and they deem that they are overwhelmed therein; (then) they cry unto Allah, making their faith pure for Him only: If Thou deliver us from this, we truly will be of the thankful. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

It is He who carries you across land and sea. When you are in the ships, and they sail along with them with a favourable wind, exulting in it, there comes upon them a tempestuous wind and waves assail them from every side, and they think that they are besieged, they invoke Allah putting exclusive faith in Him, [If You deliver us from this, we will surely be among the grateful.] - Qarai, Ali Quli

When you are rejoicing in a boat, a favorable breeze and a violent storm arises with waves surrounding you from all sides. Thinking that you will not survive, you start to pray sincerely to God. In prayer, you say, [If You rescue us from this we shall certainly be grateful]. - Sarwar, Muhammad

He it is Who makes you travel by land and sea; until when you are in the ships, and they sail on with them in a pleasant breeze, and they rejoice, a violent wind overtakes them and the billows surge in on them from all sides, and they become certain that they are encompassed about, they pray to Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience: If Thou dost deliver us from this, we will most certainly be of the grateful ones. - Shakir, Habib

وہ خدا وہ ہے جو تمہیں خشکی اور سمندر میں سیر کراتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتی میں تھے اور پاکیزہ ہوائیں چلیں اور سارے مسافر خوش ہوگئے تو اچانک ایک تیز ہوا چل گئی اور موجوں نے ہر طرف سے گھیرے میں لے لیا اور یہ خیال پیدا ہوگیا کہ چارں طرف سے کَھرگئے ہیں تو دین خالص کے ساتھ اللہ سے دعا کرنے لگے کہ اگر اس مصیبت سے نجات مل گئی تو ہم یقینا شکر گزاروں میں ہوجائیں گے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

وہ اللہ ہی ہے جو تم کو خشکی اور تری میں چلاتا ہے چنانچہ جب تم کشتیوں میں سوار ہو کر بادِ موافق پر فرحاں و شاداں سفر کر رہے ہوتے ہو اور پھر یکایک بادِ مخالف کا زور ہوتا ہے اور ہر طرف سے موجوں کے تھپیڑے لگتے ہیں اور مسافر سمجھ لیتے ہیں کہ طوفان میں گھر گئے، اُس وقت سب اپنے دین کو اللہ ہی کے لیے خالص کر کے اس سے دُعائیں مانگتے ہیں کہ “اگر تو نے ہم کو اس بلا سے نجات دے دی تو ہم شکر گزار بندے بنیں گے—— - Maududi, Abul A'ala

وہی ہے کہ تمہیں خشکی اور تری میں چلاتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتی میں ہو اور وہ اچھی ہوا سے انھیں لے کر چلیں اور اس پر خوش ہوئے ان پر آندھی کا جھونکا آیا اور ہر طرف لہروں نے انہیں آلیا اور سمجھ لے کہ ہم گِھر گئے اس وقت اللہ کو پکارتے ہیں نرے اس کے بندے ہوکر، کہ اگر تو اس سے ہمیں بچالے گا تو ہم ضرور شکر گزار ہوں گے - Ahmed Raza

وہ (خدا) وہی ہے جو تمہیں خشکی و تری میں سیر و سفر کراتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتیوں میں سوار ہوتے ہو اور وہ موافق ہوا کے مطابق مسافروں کو لے کر چلتی ہیں اور وہ خوش و خرم ہوتے ہیں تو پھر اچانک بادِ مخالف کا تھپیڑ آجاتا ہے اور ہر طرف سے موجیں اٹھتی چلی آتی ہیں اور وہ سمجھنے لگتے ہیں کہ اب ہم بالکل گھر گئے ہیں (اور زندہ بچنے کی کوئی امید باقی نہیں رہتی) تو اس وقت دین کو اللہ کے لئے خالص کرکے یعنی بڑے اخلاص کے ساتھ خدا کو پکارتے ہیں کہ (یا اللہ) اگر تو ہمیں اس (مصیبت) سے نجات دے دے تو ہم ضرور تیرے شکر گزار بندوں میں سے ہوں گے۔ - Najafi, Muhammad

فَلَمَّآ أَنجَىٰهُمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَبْغُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ ۗ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِكُم ۖ مَّتَٰعَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

Yet when He hath delivered them, behold! they rebel in the earth wrongfully. O mankind! Your rebellion is only against yourselves. (Ye have) enjoyment of the life of the world; then unto Us is your return and We shall proclaim unto you what ye used to do. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

But when He delivers them, behold, they commit violations on the earth unduly! O mankind! Your violations are only to your own detriment. [These are] the wares of the life of this world; then to Us will be your return, whereat We will inform you concerning what you used to do. - Qarai, Ali Quli

When We saved you, you started to rebel unjustly in the land. People, your rebellion will only harm yourselves. You may enjoy the worldly life but to Us you will all return and We will let you know all that you had done. - Sarwar, Muhammad

But when He delivers them, lo! they are unjustly rebellious in the earth. O men! your rebellion is against your own souls-- provision (only) of this world's life-- then to Us shall be your return, so We will inform you of what you did. - Shakir, Habib

اس کے بعد جب اس نے نجات دے دی تو زمین میں ناحق ظلم کرنے لگے -انسانو !یاد رکھو تمہارا ظلم تمہارے ہی خلاف ہوگا یہ صرف چند روزہ زندگی کا مزہ ہے اس کے بعد تم سب کی بازگشت ہماری ہی طرف ہوگی اور پھر ہم تمہیں بتائیں گے کہ تم دنیا میں کیا کررہے تھے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

مگر جب وہ ان کو بچا لیتا ہے تو پھر وہی لوگ حق سے منحرف ہو کر زمین میں بغاوت کرنے لگتے ہیں لوگو، تمہاری یہ بغاوت اُلٹی تمہارے ہی خلاف پڑ رہی ہے دنیا کے چند روزہ مزے ہیں (لُوٹ لو)، پھر ہماری طرف تمہیں پلٹ کر آنا ہے، اُس وقت ہم تمہیں بتا دیں گے کہ تم کیا کچھ کرتے رہے ہو - Maududi, Abul A'ala

پھر اللہ جب انہیں بچا لیتا ہے جبھی وہ زمین میں ناحق زیادتی کرنے لگتے ہیں اے لوگو! تمہاری زیادتی تمہارے ہی جانوں کا وبال ہے دنیا کے جیتے جی برت لو (فائد اٹھالو)، پھر تمہیں ہماری طرف پھرنا ہے اس وقت ہم تمہیں جتادیں گے جو تمہارے کوتک تھے - Ahmed Raza

اور جب اللہ انہیں نجات دے دیتا ہے تو (اپنا سب عہد و پیمان بھول کر) زمین میں ناحق بغاوت اور سرکشی کرنے لگتے ہیں اے لوگو! تمہاری اس بغاوت کا وِزر و وبال تو خود تمہاری ہی جانوں پر پڑ رہا ہے یہ (چند روزہ) زندگی کے مزے ہیں (سو لوٹ لو) پھر تمہاری بازگشت ہماری ہی طرف ہے اس وقت ہم تمہیں بتائیں گے کہ تم کیا کرتے رہے ہو؟ - Najafi, Muhammad

إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخْتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلْأَرْضِ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَٱزَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَآ أَنَّهُمْ قَٰدِرُونَ عَلَيْهَآ أَتَىٰهَآ أَمْرُنَا لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًۭا فَجَعَلْنَٰهَا حَصِيدًۭا كَأَن لَّمْ تَغْنَ بِٱلْأَمْسِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

The similitude of the life of the world is only as water which We send down from the sky, then the earth's growth of that which men and cattle eat mingleth with it till, when the earth hath taken on her ornaments and is embellished, and her people deem that they are masters of her, Our commandment cometh by night or by day and We make it as reaped corn as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do we expound the revelations for people who reflect. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

The parable of the life of this world is that of water which We send down from the sky. It mingles with the earth]s vegetation from which humans and cattle eat. When the earth puts on its luster and is adorned, and its inhabitants think they have power over it, Our edict comes to it, by night or day, whereat We turn it into a mown field, as if it did not flourish the day before. Thus do We elaborate the signs for a people who reflect. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The example of the worldly life is like the water sent down from the sky which becomes mixed with the earth's produce that people and cattle consume. When the land becomes fertile and pleasant, people think that they have control over it. At Our command during the night or day, the land becomes as barren as if it had no richness the day before. The likeness of this world's life is only as water which We send down from the cloud, then the herbage of the earth of which men and cattle eat grows luxuriantly thereby, until when the earth puts on its golden raiment and it becomes garnished, and its people think that they have power over it, Our command comes to it, by night or by day, so We render it as reaped seed; produce, as though it had not been in existence yesterday; thus do We make clear the communications for a people who reflect. - Shakir, Habib

زندگانی دنیا کی مثال صرف اس بارش کی ہے جسے ہم نے آسمان سے نازل کیا پھر اس سے مل کر زمین سے وہ نباتات برآمد ہوئیں جن کو انسان اورجانور کھاتے ہیں یہاں تک کہ جب زمین نے سبزہ زار سے اپنے کو آراستہ کرلیا اور مالکوں نے خیال کرنا شروع کردیا کہ اب ہم اس زمین کے صاحب هاختیار ہیں تو اچانک ہمارا حکم رات یا دن کے وقت آگیا اور ہم نے اسے بالکل کٹا ہوا کھیت بنادیا گویا اس میں کل کچھ تھا ہی نہیں -ہم اسی طرح اپنی آیتوں کو مفصل طریقہ سے بیان کرتے ہیں اس قوم کے لئے جو صاحبِ فکر و نظر ہے - Jawadi, Zeeshan

دنیا کی یہ زندگی (جس کے نشے میں مست ہو کر تم ہماری نشانیوں سے غفلت برت رہے ہو) اس کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے آسمان سے ہم نے پانی برسایا تو زمین کی پیداوار، جسے آدمی اور جانور سب کھاتے ہیں، خوب گھنی ہو گئی، پھر عین اُس وقت جبکہ زمین اپنی بہار پر تھی اور کھیتیاں بنی سنوری کھڑی تھیں اور ان کے مالک یہ سمجھ رہے تھے کہ اب ہم ان سے فائدہ اُٹھانے پر قادر ہیں، یکایک رات کو یا دن کو ہمارا حکم آ گیا اور ہم نے اسے ایسا غارت کر کے رکھ دیا کہ گویا کل وہاں کچھ تھا ہی نہیں اس طرح ہم نشانیاں کھول کھول کر پیش کرتے ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو سوچنے سمجھنے والے ہیں - Maududi, Abul A'ala

صِرَٰطٍۢ
path
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ
that is stable and direct.

وَٱللَّهُ يَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ دَارِ ٱلسَّلَٰمِ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ And the One invites towards circle of security, and guides whom He desires towards path that is stable and direct.

And Allah summoneth to the abode of peace, and leadeth whom He will to a straight path. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

For those who do good is the best (reward) and more (thereto). Neither dust nor ignominy cometh near their faces. Such are rightful owners of the Garden; they will abide therein. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

Those who are virtuous shall receive the best reward and an enhancement. Neither dust nor abasement shall overcast their faces. They shall be the inhabitants of paradise, and they shall remain in it [forever]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The righteous will receive good reward for their deeds and more. Their faces will suffer no disgrace or ignominy. They will be the dwellers of Paradise wherein they will live forever. - Sarwar, Muhammad

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَسَبُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ جَزَآءُ سَيِّئَةٍۭ بِمِثْلِهَا وَتَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌۭ ۖ مَّا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ عَاصِمٍۢ ۖ كَأَنَّمَآ أُغْشِيَتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ قِطَعًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ مُظْلِمًا ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated] [untranslated]

And those who earn ill-deeds, (for them) requital of each ill-deed by the like thereof; and ignominy overtaketh them - They have no protector from Allah - as if their faces had been covered with a cloak of darkest night. Such are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein. - Pickthall, Marmaduke

For those who have committed misdeeds, the requital of a misdeed shall be its like, and they shall be overcast by abasement. They shall have no one to protect [them] from Allah. [They will be] as if their faces were covered with dark patches of the night. They shall be the inmates of the Fire, and they shall remain in it [forever]. - Qarai, Ali Quli

The recompense for the evil deeds will be equally evil (not more) and the faces of the evil-doers will suffer from disgrace. No one can protect them from the wrath of God. Their faces will become dark as if covered by the pitch-darkness of night. They will be the dwellers of hell wherein they will remain forever. - Sarwar, Muhammad

And (as for) those who have earned evil, the punishment of an evil is the like of it, and abasement shall come upon them-- they shall have none to protect them from Allah-- as if their faces had been covered with slices of the dense darkness of night; these are the inmates of the fire; in it they shall abide. - Shakir, Habib

But as for those who have done evil deeds, the recompense shall be in proportion. They will have none to defend them against God. Ignominy shall cover them, as though their faces were veiled by the night's own darkness. It is they who are destined for the fire, where they will live forever. - Wahiduddin Khan

اور جن لوگوں نے برائیاں کمائی ہیں ان کے لئے ہر برائی کے بدلے ویسی ہی برائی ہے اور ان کے چہروں پر گناہوں کی سیاہی بھی ہوگی اور انہیں عذاب الٰہی سے بچانے والا کوئی نہ ہوگا -ان کے چہرے پر جیسے سیاہ رات کی تاریکی کا پردہ ڈال دیا گیا ہو -وہ اہل جہّنم ہیں اور اسی میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں - Jawadi, Zeeshan

اور جن لوگوں نے بُرائیاں کمائیں ان کی بُرائی جیسی ہے ویسا ہی وہ بدلہ پائیں گے، ذلّت ان پر مسلّط ہو گی، کوئی اللہ سے ان کو بچانے والا نہ ہو گا، ان کے چہروں پر ایسی تاریکی چھائی ہوئی ہو گی جیسے رات کے سیاہ پردے ان پر پڑے ہوئے ہوں، وہ دوزخ کے مستحق ہیں جہاں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے - Maududi, Abul A'ala

اور جنہوں نے برائیاں کمائیں تو برائی کا بدلہ اسی جیسا اور ان پر ذلت چڑھے گی، انہیں اللہ سے بچانے والا کوئی نہ ہوگا، گویا ان کے چہروں پر اندھیری رات کے ٹکڑے چڑھا دیئے ہیں وہی دوزخ والے ہیں، وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے، - Ahmed Raza
